This home sits off hwy 176 in Newberry county, close to I26 and 7 mi from downtown. We offer a very comfortable, and very clean home fully stocked to cook a meal, grill a steak or roast a hot dog. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the cozy front porch. Take a nice country ride down 176 to Irmo or Columbia (aprox 30 mile). Or enjoy what Newberry offers with a few window front stores and some good food and antiques. Newberry opera house is a popular attraction and has some amazing shows. If you prefer the outdoors , just head out the door and in about 2 minutes you will be in the Sumter National Forest. We have lots of beautiful country roads with very little traffic, perfect for bike riding , 10 mile toward Pomaria , you can pick up the famous Palmetto Trail, great for hikers or bikers. We host many families here to visit their students at Newberry college. This is also a great home to rent if you just need to get off the road and enjoy a good nights sleep, or want to get out of the city and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Our check in is super easy. We live nearby if you need anything at all, yet we give you absolute privacy. All dogs must be approved, and you must crate them when left alone. No cats, my wife is extremely allergic, thank you.

We used this rental as a half-way point to and from our vacation destination. We were pulling a cargo trailer so it was nice to have a place that was large enough to park our rig and where we felt it was safe. Added bonus was that we were only 5 min from the Interstate but out in the country away from crowds surrounded by nature and peace and quiet. It is a bit challenging with a long rig to get in and out of the driveway but the owner has an alternative parking area that worked much better. The place is kept very clean, the kitchen is well stocked and beds are comfortable.

Nice clean rental out in the woods. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The owners live next door and were very welcoming and helpful. They kitchen is stocked well and they even left some snacks.

Deserves 10 stars! It was truly like home away from home. Cozy, clean, quiet, safe. Even my pups seemed to feel right at home. The hosts were thoughtful, kind, communicative. The next time I am able to visit my South Carolina relatives, I will coordinate dates with when the house is avaliable. I can't say enough to describe how wonderful my time there was. I am thankful to have found it.

South Caroline Retreat

We were returning to SC for a family wedding and chance to visit with old friends. We wanted a comfortable country setting if possible for our stay and that’s just what we got here! Very clean and tidy, really cute decor, great linesmen’s and very comfortable beds! What more could you want? Check in was super easy and Byron was always super easy to contact with any questions we had. We highly recommend this little gem. Very comfortable and a terrific host. Your stay will be fantastic!

Always a Great Stay

We have stayed here for 3 years now for Newberry College's Homecoming and will continue to return! The place is always clean and comfortable. The property is quiet and has a firepit to gather around to reconnect with long time friends. Owners are extremely responsive - the perfect hosts.

Great Place to Unwind

Home away from home

The place was perfect for us. Very cozy, we felt so comfortable. It had everything we needed and was on a quiet road. Very peaceful out there. But not too far from anything we might need in town. Byron was super responsive and helpful when I reached out with a question. We loved the front porch and relaxing in nature.
