Beautiful hotel, not sure how it’s classed as a 3* on Expedia when it’s by far the nicest hotel in Newcastle. The rooms are a great size, clean and cosy and you can tell the hotel has thought of the “little things” that set it apart from a generic Hilton esque experience. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Will be back soon :)

The Perfect Wedding Night Stay

We had the most wonderful night at Dakota! We stayed here on our wedding night and the staff were absolutely amazing. The service was exceptional. The room was beautiful bed comfortable and shower was blissful. We also had breakfast at the hotel and the food was great. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel on the quayside. The staff were all lovely. The room was very well appointed, with comfortable bed and Molton Brown toiletries. Our first stay in a Dakota hotel but won’t be our last.

Very modern and new hotel. Excellent room. The lighting inside the hotel, reception and bar was very dark day and night! For an ultra modern hotel I was surprised that they still provide miniature bottles of toiletries instead of large fixed ones, not very eco friendly! Also no toilet brushes in the bathroom which can be useful as it would have been on this occasion. Otherwise lovely bathroom and room.

Lovely little family night.

Stayed for 1 night. Only bad thing was they don't cater for families as in having a double and single bedrooms. We had to pay an extra £50 for a camp bed to be added to our room. We had to upgrade to a junior suite as a standard wasn't big enough. Having said that the room was beautiful, modern and very comfortable. The hotel had that new smell which was lovely. The carpets were plump, thick and lush. We ate in the restaurant and had breakfast and all food was very tasty, a little expensive but thats what you should expect for this hotel. We will be back. Overall great hotel.
