Excellent Stay at INNSiDE Newcastle
We stayed at INNSiDE Newcastle in October for one night while visiting the city for a show. It was a great excuse for a short getaway and a nice meal. Normally, we’d stay at Malmaison or Dakota, but on this occasion, their prices were ridiculously high—so we chose INNSiDE instead, and we’re glad we did.
We stayed in a River View Room, and the online check-in process was smooth, even though it required a bit more information than expected (which is becoming the norm these days across the UK and EU). We received an early notification that our room was ready, and upon arrival, simply scanned the QR code from the email—our room key was instantly dispensed from a machine. Perfect! Checkout was even easier: just select your departure time and drop off the key.
While the exterior of the hotel may not be the most striking, the interior is stylish and welcoming. The lobby features thoughtful local touches, and the room itself was spotless, quiet, and well-equipped for a short stay. A standout feature was the complimentary minibar stocked with soft drinks and beer—a lovely touch. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered views of the River Tyne and High Level Bridge, which were enjoyable despite the rainy weather.
Prior to our stay, we contacted the hotel about a special occasion and were assisted by a staff member named Stavros, who was incredibly helpful and ensured everything went smoothly - so a big thank you to Stavros for this.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience.
