Angela was so kind and welcoming. This inn felt like home. The breakfast was delicious and made to order each morning. We were about a twenty minute walk from the center of Newport. It was far enough away that everything was so quiet. We commented several times that we could not hear anyone in the other rooms coming and going. The common sitting area outside of the dining room was very peaceful. There are afternoon cocktails, and treats served in this room. The smell of fresh baked goods coming from the kitchen is always present. It is easy to see why this inn has won so many awards. I would say the only downside for this inn is if you have any difficulties with stairs, you should book a room on the ground floor. I did not expect our room to be on the 2nd floor and I found it a little difficult getting up and down the outside stairs to the second floor. You cannot go wrong here. We will be back.

Staff recommended using UBER for transportation. UBER was terrible/unreliable. For 25 minute UBER said it was 2 minutes away. We left for dinner. I am not sure they ever came. Please do not allow your staff to recommend UBER. You are doing a disservice to your guests.

This was our first time staying here. check in was seamless. The owner was friendly and welcoming. small snacks and cocktails were available in the living room. It was an easy walk to Thames Street for shopping and dining. Will definitely stay again.

I’ve been to many BnB type places. The Beech Tree Inn and Cottage was on point in every way. The self check in, the breakfast, the room and basically everything else were superb. If going to Newport, this is a place to stay.

Good night’s sleep

I loved this place. We stayed in the room with the king and the queen Murphy bed. Both beds were comfortable and we got a good night’s rest. The place smelled clean and fresh. The neighborhood was very quiet. I appreciated the variety of food for breakfast.
