We booked this property for the night of July 4th and paid a premium rate, expecting a comfortable, clean, and well-equipped stay. Shockingly, the host increased the rate after we had already booked, and since the booking was non-refundable, I had no choice but to pay the difference.At that price point, what we experienced was unacceptableâand to make matters worse, Vrbo has not responded to any of my multiple emails or calls regarding these issues. Iâm now left with no choice but to leave this review.Hereâs what went wrong:- WiFi did not work at all during our stay, making it impossible to plan or stay connected.- There were no extra toilet rolls in the houseâbasic hospitality was completely missing.- The ground-floor bedroom had no cooling, forcing my elderly parents to sleep upstairs, which was physically difficult and unsafe.Bathroom doors didnât lock, making everyone uncomfortable.- The house was visibly dirty, with hair balls scattered aroundâclearly not cleaned properly.- The kitchen didnât have even basic essentials like salt or sugar.- All bath linens were stained and smelled foul, and even the bedsheets were visibly dirty.This was a truly frustrating and disappointing experience. I feel cheated out of my money, especially on a peak holiday night. Vrboâs lack of accountability has been equally disappointing. I am still waiting for appropriate compensation and expect Vrbo to take responsibility.
