This property is spacious and comfortable and so full of character. It had everything anyone could want and was in a fantastic location! Steps to Queen street, coffee and pastry 2 doors down, walk to all of the things in the old town. Just a charming home. Comfy beds and furniture.
Lots of great seating areas. Specious. Laundry and other practical items were great. Clean. Great beds and furniture. Bathroom could use and update but shower pressure was amazing.
Excellent location and walkable to just about everything. Good restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Beautiful town with nice parks and spring flowers and trees in bloom everywhere. It was stunning. The home was in a lovely area close to the lake. It had two bedrooms upstairs, one with a fireplace! Both bedrooms were very comfortable and shared a full Jack 'n Jill bath on the top level. The main level had a half bath, stocked kitchen and cute living room with a gas fireplace. Good wireless and cable and Smart TV. The home provided great parking. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!
had a great stay at this sweet little retreat. accommodation looks like the photos. the house itself is a bit older but is clean and has ample space. close to Queen st and the water - super convenient. we arrived after hours and had a small issue with checking in but was able to get someone on the line to resolve the issue in less than 5 minutes (thanks, Rob and Ali!). Couple pieces of feedback: lacking tissue boxes in common areas/bed rooms and dining table could be bigger. would stay again at this host's properties next time in NOTL.
Overall very happy with the location and the home was very clean and a few steps to downtown and shopping! Would stay again for sure. was a very good experience!
The house was in a perfect location. Walking distance to everywhere downtown. The house was very clean and stocked with everything you would need. Great property, would definitely stay there again!!
Your home is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay
The only thing we found frustrating was you keypad very irritating to open and lock.
Should be an easier process.
Also we used your bbq only reached temperature of 300 degrees for some reason.
Otherwise loved everything and we enjoyed
Thank you
This was our second stay at Sweet reTreat and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Its location is unbeatable! We never had to move our car in the five days we were there. The house is always clean and well supplied with necessities. Directions had one small flaw. the directions indicate that you can enter via the front door - but the actual way to enter turned out to be on the side. Since we had been there in the previous year, we knew about the side entrance but if we were new to the house it would had been a bit difficult - but not impossible - to figure out what to do. Elsie is always very helpful and pleasant. We will likely engage Sweet reTreat for next year.
The Sweet reTreat was perfectly located just steps away from Queen Street where there are many restaurants and shops. If you stroll the other way, youâre minutes away from the Royal Queen Park. The house was not only immaculate but also provided the comforts of home. When we arrived, the WiFi was down. Jason, the manager, was responsive to solving the problem. When returning to NOTL, we would definitely stay there again.
Larger beds (queen insted of double ) wood be a good amelioration.
We had to go get coffee the first morning because there were none.
The front door was not easy to open with the 9 numbers of the code.

Sweet Dreams is in a perfect location to enjoy NOTL - and the house itself is quite large. In fact - itâs large enough to profit from some rethinking.
For example - the kitchen is huge - with a nice sized pantry - but the tiny table provided makes the space feel empty. This might not matter if you are only staying for a short while, but cooking does become challenging with the lack of prep surfaces. An island or a larger table would certainly help out.
The outside eating area is quite handy - but the chairs are surprisingly uncomfortable. We ended up having to drag cushions outside in order to use the chairs. And despite a good search, no outside cushions could be found.
The floor in the upstairs is very creaky - as is the staircase. That makes it easy to wake up folks trying to grab a bit of sleep. Other reviewers have also noted this - but itâs hard to describe exactly how noisy the floors actually are.
Sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom between the two bedrooms was more challenging then Iâd imaged it would be. One of the doors is directly in front of the toilet - the other at the fair end of the long thin space. So knocking loudly was really the only option. If you locked either door - you looked folks out later in the day because itâs so easy to forget to unlock. We did face challenges.
The living room is lovely - and very large - with a good sized TV. The window âbedâ is great as well. But curiously - the sofas are set at right angles to the TV. I wonder why.
We loved the charm of this house and property! It is located less than half a block to the main street of town with all of its restaurants, boutiques, pubs, and theaters!! In fact two doors down from the house are two doughnut/pastry shops (Yumm)!
The house was equipped with anything you might need while staying there. There is free private parking and a cute back garden to share morning coffee or evening relaxation time. We loved it!
We enjoyed our stay - the house was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed eating on the patio. The house is less than half a block from the main section of town, a grocery, and excellent restaurants.
We'd happily stay again!
I already sent an email, inside VERY comfortable, clean, nicely appointed. Outside needs attention, lawn not mowed, flower beds need some tender care it sure would have made sitting outside in the cozy space much more enjoyable. Also, the patio need badly power washing, the tree droppings along with the wet, just about went on my ass walji g they are so slippery. We are looking for the one place we can return to several times a year since our previous B&B owners sold and moved....this could be the place with a bit more attention to detail outside only...inside lovely
We had a wonderful stay at the Sweet Retreat. The location of the property could not be more convenient. The main drag with the shops and restaurants is less than a block away. However, there was never a noise issue. The lake, parks, and even the golf course are an easy walk of only a few blocks. The house was very clean and comfortable. We had a small issue with the shower hose extension bursting. We called the management company who had someone there the same day to fix the issue. My only recommendation is that the management company may want to provide additional towels and blankets. We stayed for over a week and were provided 4 towels in total. There is a washer/dryer but when on vacation you donât necessarily want to do laundry every day. There were no blankets on the beds, but we did discover one in a closet that we used. Overall our experience was very positive.
This house is centrally located in the Niagara on the Lake area an close to Niagara falls. Well furnished, comfortable beds, would stay again in a hear beat!
Nice home, within 1/2 block to main shopping street (Queen street) and 2 blocks from beautiful water views. Dinner at Noble and the High Tea at Price of Wales were both outstanding. Lunch and then a band at the Angel inn was so much fun!
