We stayed here for a week as part of our 3-week Europe trip, choosing this hotel based on its location and positive review but were disappointed from the start.
Our original room had multiple issues: broken fixtures, black mold and mildew in the shower, and a completely non-functional A/C unit blowing 81°F air despite being set to 73°F. We reported it to the front desk, who promised maintenance would fix it, but nothing changed. We asked for a fan, which was never delivered.
My wife, 5 months pregnant, developed a fever from the heat and couldn’t sleep. Meanwhile, the hallway was noticeably cooler, clearly the A/C was working elsewhere.
After four nights, I insisted on switching rooms. They hesitated, saying they were fully booked, but sent maintenance again—who confirmed the A/C issue couldn’t be fixed. Eventually, we were moved to a new room with working air, but were told we had to pack and move in 15 minutes because they were going to put someone else in our room. Knowing it was broken they didn’t care and would put someone else in there.
Before we left, hotel management promised us a refund for the trouble. However, after we checked out, they changed their story and refused to issue any refund. Thankfully, Hotels.com stepped in and covered the refund themselves because the hotel lied.
The property is clearly falling apart, and the staff offered excuses instead of solutions. I would not recommend staying here.
