Stayed at this VRBO for a weekend concert at Credit One Stadium. The location was convenientânot only to the stadium but also to downtown Charleston. We brought one dog and stayed in the front unit, which worked out well. As other reviews mentioned, the property includes both a front and back rental unit; guests in the back unit enter the rental through the backyard which is a little odd to me. The space had a large dining area. Overall, a great value for the location and amenities!
When we walked in the front door the home was so inviting and clean that it was like walking into someoneâs home and not a rental. The decorating of the home was perfect for the style of home and location. The location was so convenient for us to attend the concert on Daniel Island, have dinner with friends on Mount Pleasant, and to enjoy a wonderful Saturday downtown Charleston visiting our favorite shops. This home is a must return to home for us as we travel with our Golden Retrievers and the large fenced in back yard was perfect for the Boys to run around and play. Great home. One of the best we have ever stayed in.
Very clean, location okay Some things to consider: Near a busy street- so you hear thatNo direct access to backyard & why we booked- we had to go out front door into the back gate to access back yard for our dog Didnât released the house is separated into two sections with the 2nd section another Vrbo, so the back door of the house is technically the door access for that part
This house was good for our 3 day stay. We didnât cook in kitchen, so donât know how that is equipped, but there is a large dining room that would fit 6-8 people. There is no bedroom closet but there is a suitable dresser. The a/c in the bedroom worked well, not sure about the other rooms. There is front door access only, no back door to access fenced in yard.
Owners were VERY responsive before, during and after our stay. House is located fairly convenient to most things you want to do. There were small housekeeping issues, but were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. Starter provisions were enough for the two of us to get through 4 nights. Kitchen seems to be stocked well for more than 2 people if you are staying in and cooking.Things to note depending on your specific preferences:-Bed is on the soft side, but it is NOT lumpy. Linens were clean.-House is located in a busy area of town; you will hear sirens, trains and lots of road traffic. We live in a very quiet area, so we noticed it. If you live in town or a busy area, it should not bother you.-There is no door to access the fenced backyard; you will have to go out the front and through the gate. Not a big issue though.- The "rear" unit is also an upstairs unit. We had nice quiet neighbors during our stay.-In case bath towels are not left on the bed, look for them in the drawers of the table in the bathroom.Thank you Holly and Evan for a pleasant stay. We did enjoy our time in Charleston.
Check-in was very easy. Property was clean and as described in listing. Good kitchen provisions and a beautiful dining space. Need was comfortable, and extra blankets and towels were easily accessible. Neighborhood felt safe.Simple checkout procedures. Property would benefit from some weatherproofing around the front door and it needs much more comfortable seating in the living room.
Thank you so much for welcoming our family of fourâand our dogâinto your home during our evacuation from Helene. Your generosity and hospitality truly made a difficult situation much easier for us. The place was perfect, with everything we needed to feel comfortable and settled during the week. Weâre so grateful for your thoughtfulness and how accommodating you were. You went above and beyond, and we canât thank you enough for your kindness.
With heartfelt appreciation,

My overall impression is that this was a nice place to stay. Holly was an excellent host and was communicative and reached out when I had problems connecting to the Internet for work. However, the Internet situation was not ideal. There is an unsecured network that guest can use and it did not work for signing in to the VPN needed for my job. Holly provided another network/password and when asked. We tried the other one and it didnât work, and I ended up having to use my phone as Wi-Fi Hotspot to do work. Another shortcoming of the Internet situation is that none of the TVs are set up to use the Internet in this way and often just display the message that they are not online.
The TV in the front still had the factory set up page on it and even connected to the network, it acted as if it was offline. I understand having guests signed into their own accounts, but not even having the tv connected, set up and set up was not ideal. I was only there for two days, so not having a TV to watch was not that big of a deal.
When I arrived, the house was mostly clean. The only issue was there was several items from the other tenants who left like eggs And condiments left in fridge.
The neighborhood wasnât what I expected, but did not feel unsafe.
Iâve stayed in her propertyâs in the past and was very happy, and it was the same this time. She responds to any questions right away, and was extremely accommodating, letting me check in early. The house is actually a lot bigger than what it looks like in the pictures. It has a huge dining room , and a really unique cool kitchen. Streaming tv and comfy couch. The bed was great as well.
Definitely worth staying.
