Family Getaway
The overall experience was good. The house was beautiful, the views were amazing. The location in reference to the beach was absolutely wonderful. The biggest drawback was that the house was extremely dirty. The bathrooms had leftover toothpaste and buildup around the faucet and handles. The kitchen was dirty, there was food around the edge of the floor, the sink was gross, the light fixture had grease build up and there were gnats stuck to them. The fridge handle was full of food and grime. I swept up a half dustpan full of sand when we arrived and vacuumed another half-full canister off of the main area rug. I know that we are at the beach and there is sand, but there shouldn't have been that much at the beginning of our stay. When we arrived the cleaners were there. they did bring out a linen bag from the previous stay but they did not bring in or out any clean blankets/bedspreads, only sheets. I can assume that blankets on the beds were used during the last stay. I did contact the office and they wanted a list of things that needed to be cleaned and they would send someone out. I already had my entire family in the house, 16 people. That I now had to have someone come clean around. It was uncomfortable and we decided to clean up ourselves.
