This is the perfect beachfront getaway for Christmas. There was even a decorated tree!
Loved the separate queen room. Roomy and plenty of towels, supplies and things to cook with. The big porch was perfect for coffee.
Would rent again!
This home is a beautiful beach cottage from the 50s and it is awesome! Nicley updated with plenty of bathrooms and ample space in the kitchen! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the house! We had plenty of towels, linens and dishes. And just minutes from "shaggers row"!!!
So here are the pros: house is in a good location, easy access to the beach is great, really exceptional stocked kitchen tools, beds were very comfortable, toiletries were suitable, everything was labeled well and there was an entire kitchen pantry dedicated for guest storage. Considerations, if you are expecting updated appliances in the kitchen and for bathrooms, this is not the place. This house has not been renovated. Cons: Advertised as ocean front , while it is , the dune prevents a view of the ocean. WIFI, we could not even send email, had to use hotspots, TV buffers etc. You will have burs stick to you on the way to the beach. They are everywhere. Had to pull many off our dog and beach blankets etc. Roaches, the place needs significant pest control measures to be taken. We checked out early due to the bugs.
CleanlinessâŠfirst view was a sock sticking out under a chair. Had to move coffee table off to the side because the oversized glass top makes it a knee cap catcher. Ouch!
Refrigerator had missing shelving on door so had limited space for drinks (easy access) once a few food items are in there. We cooked in a couple times.
Check-in is fast and simple. Wonderful after long drive.
Accuracy of listing - pictures are accurate, ButâŠ..the three bathrooms consist of one in master bedroom, one in the completely separate bedroom attachment that only has OUTSIDE access, which leaves one community bathroom for the other three bedrooms. Definitely inconvenient for a larger group. Parking is great, back porch is great. For being pet friendly, I say yes for house, NO FOR YARD. Itâs location has a public path and walkway to the beach right by side of the house so it has LOTS of traffic all the time going by house and back yard. Fencing is definitely NOT for privacy or safety of dog or kids. If the houses were rented on both during our stay, I donât think we would have had any peace or quiet. The blinds on some windows were not the best, one window had missing spots. Fortunately one side only had people for the last two nights. Supplies are very limited so bring a few extra 13 gallon trash bags, rolls of toilet paper, dishwasher pods and laundry soap and dryer sheets.
Very easy street access and close driving for anything.
This place wasn't the newest beach house but it definitely has character. This 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom house was perfect for our beach Christmas get together with the family! One room was attached to the side of the house so it was perfect for my older parents to get some quiet in the evenings away from the main house. With the beach just feet away and a great backyard, there was a lot to do! Only negative I can come up with is if you have dogs with you, watch their paws for burs in the yard since you are by the beach grass. The house was well stocked in cooking items for me to make a whole Christmas dinner but make sure to bring extra necessities with you (dish washer pods, dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels).
This house was very clean and well stocked with everything a family could need for a stay away from home. Ample bedrooms, adequate parking, well stocked kitchen, roomy great room, nice back porch, great sized dinning table and easy walk right out to the beach. We had a great stay, would recommend it and would choose it again.
The location might be the best part of our experience. Oceanfront, beach access from property, restaurants and nightlife very close. The property had all amenities necessary for a family retreat. I will be booking this house again.
