This has been a nightmare from the the day we arrived until our last full night of the vacation. We couldnât get into the condo right away. It took quite a while before the app worked. Not the ownersâs fault. Power outages caused the a/c unit stop working. Again, not owners fault. Owner texted back saying unit couldnât be until the next morning. We figured that was the end of the situation, and we just have to uncomfortable for the night. He returned a text at 11:40 pm stating that an emergency call could be placed for the a/c to be fixed. Why wasnât that an option when the first reply text was sent? We didnât respond to the late text because we were sleeping for the 12 hour car ride home. I texted the owner the next morning stating that I felt we should be compensated for that evening. It was over 100 degrees outside, and almost 90 degrees in the top floor condo we were renting. He became belligerent, stated that he was disappointed that I felt entitled to any compensation, and that it was due to a power outage that was beyond his control. I agree that he couldnât control the power outage but everything else returned to normal, so the a/c unit was obviously not caused by the power outage. He then sent a message stating that if left a review stating any of this, he would give us a bad review so that other owners are aware. He since stated that I stole his parking and pool passes. I did not take them. They were left in the exact same spot as they were when we arrived.
