Friends and I stayed here for a weekend of skiing at Jay. The owner was responsive and the place was small but clean and easy to get to the mountain. We will likely stay here again!
Stayed at the cabin with a group of friends for a ski trip. Cabin was clean and comfortable, and very convenient to the slopes! Ray, the host, even allowed us to check-in early at the last minute which was very accommodating. Our only issue was we wish there was a clearer welcome guide with instructions for things like the thermostat as well as the check-in process. The host was responsive when contacted, but I felt bothersome having to reach out with so many questions. I would stay here again!
The house was great for our family of 5! We spent so much time at the mountain, this cozy house was just right to relax and reboot for the next day. The kids thought the couch was comfortable(watched plenty of Netflix).
The house was clean, had everything we needed to cook and eat.
Exactly what you would expect with a crash pad for a ski trip.
What a fantastic place to stay and ski! Three miles to the mountain and even closer to town. The house was absolutely perfect for us. It was very clean, easy check-in, and had everything you could possibly need. The Owner Ray was super accommodating and very helpful throughout our trip. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Perfect!
The property was close to Jay Peak, which was ideal for our trip. It's less than 5 minutes to the mountain. The check in was easy - no complaints there. I would recommend this property if you are looking for a crash pad for a short stay. You won't want to hang out here for any extended time. The living room is really small and there's no place to eat other than a few small tables that fit 1-2 people and are spread out in a few spots. No place big enough for a group of people (even 4) to sit around the table together and eat and hang out. There's also no dishwasher, so if you're planning on cooking/eating here - plan to be doing dishes. Finally, I thought it could have been cleaner on arrival - e.g., there were some dead bugs lying around, some of the utensils in the drawer looked like they had been poorly handwashed (see prior sentence...), and the oven needs a good cleaning. My family is pretty low maintenance and we're only looking for a crash pad for a ski trip, so we rolled with it, but others might be a little more turned off.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin, everything was as stated in the rental agreement. The property is beautiful and fairly secluded, we really enjoyed the sound of the river below the home. I guess cozy is the best way to describe our stay.
Cozy and rustic cabin, very close to great skiing at Jay Peak. Property Manager Ray was responsive and attentive. Stayed for three nights with my two adult sons, had a great time. We recommend this place.
