We had an excellent stay. The beachfront area is super private and provided great a shallow entrance with calm waters for the kid. Little one also loved the rock painting, games, and monkey bars next to the cottage. Easy check-in and check-out, good internet, and well-located relative to Omena and Northport. I do not understand the complaints about lack of A/C - this was clearly stated in the description, and it simply doesn't get that hot in northern MI.

My 2 year old son ended up very sick and admitted to ICU overnight the day we were supposed to go and we were unable to go to the cottage. I tried reaching out to ask if there wasn’t anything that could be done even a cleaning fee reimbursement or credit since we weren’t there at all I have ICU paperwork I could send but they did not even respond to say sorry we can’t do anything at the least. It’s very disappointing.

Northport getawwy

Spur of the moment decision to vacay UP NORTH. Found this little dream cottage was open on our dates. Very clean and pleasantly decorated cottage with a beautiful screened in front porch. Close to many things we wanted to do and lovely little beach . Not so fond of the internet outage, but good communication with maintenance. Will be renting again if available.

Great location

The location was great. We enjoyed the close beach and water and grilling right at our vacation home. We loved downtown Northport for shopping and some meals. And it was so close to everything else for sight seeing, wine tasting, and more.

Lakeside Cottage

Perfect little cottage. 6 of us didn’t need anything more. Clean, beautiful location, and quiet. Loved sitting by the water early in the morning. Glad we brought air mattress, fit well in the screened porch area.

The cottage looks exactly like the photos. It is small but very cute on the inside. We loved the screened in porch and the short walk to the beach that is on the property. It was very clean upon arrival. It probably could use some updates but we loved that there was a grill for the cottage and chairs to be outside.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property location was good. We did daily trips to different places. We did not use the private beach very often, because of the big and very slippery rocks was hard to walk in the water (we have 3 small children). Fortunately we found beautiful beaches near by. We were not happy with the maintenance of the cottage we stayed in. It was really dirty, dusty. You could see pet hair in every room by the walls. It looked like it wasn't even cleaned. The fans were on when we arrived, but there was like 2 inch of dust hanging from it. I don't really know if I would recommend this place to someone, the property location was nice, but who wants to stay in the dirty place?

It was everything plus more than the information on the website. All of us enjoyed the location right next to the beach but still close to town to shop. After entering the cabin for 1 hour, found we locked our self our. Emergency personnel were very helpful during this sticky situation. Thank you so much, place was great place to stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's like having a time share without paying for the investment! We love it and we are grateful that we have access to it. It was a dream find, out of coeincedence. We happened upon it last year after checking out of another vacation spot. It was not a dissapointment at all this year. It is a perfect location to escape the congestion of Traverse City and we love exploring the three surrounding communities of Leland, Suttons Bay and Northport. I love the quiet roads and the challenges they present for my cycling. It has a great beach for our young family. Weather was great! Food was awesome. Kudos to the cleaning staff. And we find it a relief to have the cupboards filled with all the little things you forgot or only need a teaspoon of. We hope we left more than we used for the next visitor. Thank you and we will see you again in the future. We may be interested in coming in the off season to check out another season. How late in the season are you open?
