From check-in to check-out via breakfast and dinner, all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and tidy. 2 night stay in which the 2nd night was a bit noisier but nothing verging on causing a disturbance. Ideal location for city centre and for the University, where we had a concert on the saturday night. Food was fairly priced and extremely tasty.

I love staying at The George, it is in a great location and quiet, rooms are good and although I did not have the breakfast on this occasion I have had them before and they are lovely, I would definitely recommend this

The first room we were given was near a large outdoor fan and noisy. We asked to be moved and were with minimal fuss. However, the haidryer in the new room was dangerously faulty. This was exchanged but should not have been in this condition. At checkout were charged for snacks we didn't have and overcharged for breakfast.

Room was clean and comfortable. Parking is limited but I managed to find a space although only 3 left at 5pm. It’s about a 20 min walk to city centre and theatre. There are buses running from near hotel if preferred.

Great hotel with good amenities

Great friendly check in, lovely spacious room. Bathroom a little tight but amenities all good. Shower was excellent. Breakfast was cooked to order & delicious. I will very much consider staying again when in area. Only thing was a long walk into centre, maybe long for me as recovering from double Achilles rupture. I walk quicker next time!
