I loved the unique features of the place. They left many of the original features of the cattle ranch, which makes this place really unique. The receptionists were very friendly. We sat around the fire outside the building and they showed me how to cook the s'mores. Totally recommended.
After being in the room for one hour, we decided to leave and booked another hotel immediately. The room did not have a refrigerator, a closet, a wardrobe, a dresser, or a place to put clothes. Additionally, there was no microwave or coffee maker.
We enjoyed the atmosphere, location and staff. It is a very unique facility with rich history. Only suggestion would be updating the mattress in the double bedrooms. The mattresses were uncomfortable.
Stay in Oakhurst a few times each year. This is our favorite. Has a country feeling which matches the location. Not the Holiday Inn, Hampton inn vibe for the same price. Rooms are super small. Outside area great.
We found this easy distance from the park. It was spacious and had everything we needed. Totally appreciate the Keurig. Only negative very squeaky bed.
Very interesting history and the property has been well kept up. My only real gripe or maybe a recommendation in order to dine you have too go into oakhurst,ca where the rextaurants are plentiful. Located near Yosemite ( under 50 miles) itis a different sort of motel say from big box units and being like that it has some individuality and licated about three miles outside of town gives it a quiet low traffic feel. Overall i likedit enough to cancel a reservation in thecity (san francisco) to stay an extra night.
The ranch style and design of the property but still highly maintained and clean for how old it was made it incredible. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with whatever we needed!
