There were stains everywhere, door didnât close very securely. Doesnât look nearly as clean or new as the photographs. AC didnât really work. Thereâs no lobby. Itâs just a sketchy old motel with a new paint job. Thereâs like 3 different names used throughout the property, even though it was cheap for the area, it felt like a scam. I wouldnât stay here again.
I arrived really late and it was no problem. Place was clean and kinda retro cute. The area is kinda funny. Super close to piedmont st thatâs great for walking and shopping. Lots of great restaurants in area. Funky coffee shops and little restaurants on same st as motel as well. Across from car dealerships and very close to Kaiser medical center.
The parking lot was small. It does not have enough parking stalls to accomodate the rooms in the facility. The room was small, it had only 1 chair in the room and no desk or table. It had a small refrigerator but no mirowave. It's bed was so low, it was difficult to get up. The price was reasonable but to be apart of Sonesta, I was shocked. I would not return to this facility
This is a clean budget no frills hotel in downtown Oakland. Free parking but it is tight if you have a bigger car. Rooms are clean and comfortable. A few nice restaurants walkable along Broadway. I would stay again.
From the pictures it looked decent, another story in person. The bathroom was dirty, I could see hair on the floor, they didnât bother to sweep, vacuum. The shower floor looked like it hadnât been deep cleaned for awhile. The bed frame was stained in several places. Guess you get what you pay for.
It was ok. Nothing special. The bed was comfortable but low. The floor was dirty it turned my socks brown on the bottom. The water pressure was good even with the room next door also taking a shower. The bathroom door was a barn door style which didnât close all the way making the bathroom a little cold after the shower. Plus didnât. Lean the shower very well either. I had to call to have the gate open so I could check in. I would stay here again but not for more than a day or two. Not very much parking. But I have disabled parking so I got lucky. Parking on street if none available inside the gate. I did like that the door was operated by a code. No key needed.
Very cute spot next lots of eateries, only thing that was iffy for me was the bathroom door. It did not provide enough privacy and it kept rolling and opening. But other than that it was a nice spot
What you would expect from a motel. We would have prefered the sink was separated from the shower so several people could use water at once. The fridge and air system were noisy through the night. On the plus side, the bedding was comfortable and the parking lot was gated. It was a quick ~ 12min drive to UC Berkeley in the morning.
