Communication with our host was wonderful- she was very responsive! We had an issue with the water heater and expressed concern with it- a maintenance person was there within the hour and it was all taken care of.
The house is older, so you're saving money, but remember that you get what you pay for. Our stay included two families of four. We found this property worked for us, our kids had a wonderful time- there is a Foosball table they loved- they had the entire basement to themselves.
OCD germaphobes beware. It didn't seem like the cleaning company they use actually cleaned the sheets, pillow cases or blankets on the beds, so I'd suggest being prepared to do that when you arrive or bring your own. If you have a problem with musty old house smells bring something for that. We bought some frebreeze and other smell good items that helped with that.
We did have a little mouse friend in the kitchen. To be expected in a cabin surrounded by woods. Bring a mouse trap or have a plan for food storage.
The spiral staircase leading to the basement- one person at a time! They are loud and made of plastic, and a bit wobbly, but it works. The kids loved it- added character.
We really enjoyed the fire pit area uphill from the house- clean and well kept. The property is on a hill. I would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues. The neighbors have dogs that will bark from time to time, but they are contained and I expect helped keep troublesome wildlife away. *Dog barking did not keep us awake at night, they only barked when we were outside.
The property is located 10-15 minutes away from everything. There is a Walmart close and lots of places to eat- I'd suggest Brenda's Pizzeria and MoonShadow.
