I highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Oaxaca Centro!! Super convenient and walkable location. We arrived by bus from Puerto Escondido and it was only a short walk from the bus stop and an even shorter walk the following day to our tour meet-up point. Won't need a car at all until you're heading to the airport! The staff and service are also excellent. We were able to each choose our own artisan soap (you pick the scent, and they cut you off a huge chunk right there!). They also had a mini-fridge by the reception desk where you could go and ask for water, soda/pop, gatorade etc as much as you wanted throughout the day for free. Continental breakfast was included and the staff brought you everything you needed including tea, coffee, juice and locally baked bread. The entire hotel is covered with artwork from local artists -- in the lobby, in your hotel room, the courtyard, everywhere! It was such a unique and wonderful place to stay - we'll definitely stay there again when we return to Oaxaca!!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at NaNa Vida hotel. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. We loved the courtyard with the singing birds and the hospitality of the staff. The location is great- so many shops, restaurants nearby, close to Zocalo, the Alcala and Santa Domingo.

Loved our stay at this hotel. The interior courtyard is peaceful and shaded, the room decor is tasteful and funky, and the breakfast and coffee is superb. We've stayed at NaNa Vida on two visits to Oaxaca and appreciate its gracious, helpful staff as well as its airy, spacious, and well-decorated rooms. The hotel is a ten-minute walk to the Zócalo in a quiet neighborhood and near excellent restaurants and craft shops.

Nana vida is a beautiful little hotel in a great location. Located in the middle of the Centro. Walkable to the markets or Santo Domingo church/museo, or even tasty taco shops nearby. Has a beautiful courtyard you can have a good breakfast for a good price. And all the staff was very attentive and polite. Cannot say one bad thing. If we’re lucky enough to make it back, we will definitely be staying there again.

We only stayed one night here but it was absolutely amazing. Could not recommend this place enough. The staff were so friendly and we were even given welcome and parting gifts (organic hand made soap and coffee).

The staff was genuinely hospitable and helpful. Property was well-located and quiet. I felt like the rooms are pretty basic and poorly lit. Bath products should be higher quality. And there should be more effort to clean the walkways and courtyard landscaping.

We stayed four nights at NaNa Vida and had an excellent experience. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. They were always around and willing to help make our stay comfortable. We stayed there over Christmas, and the hotel surprised all of the guests with a small gift under Christmas tree on Christmas morning. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard for breakfast and just hanging out. It was very quiet at night, other than the fireworks associated with Christmas that were going off everywhere in the city (which weren't a problem for sleeping). The hotel supplies ear plugs and a noise machine for guests, but it was among the more tranquil hotels we have stayed in, so they certainly weren't necessary. The location is great; it is close enough to the zócalo and other downtown Oaxaca attractions that you can get there with a short walk but far enough from the crowds that you don't have lots of street noise or noisy bars/restaurants to deal with. There were no barking dogs like you sometimes get in the city. The hotel felt very safe, and there was plenty of hot water in the shower (which can sometimes be an issue in hotels). The staff speak English, so you don't need to need to speak any Spanish to communicate. The Wifi was very good (we had no problems). Breakfast included hot chocolate and coffee/espressro drinks in addition to mixed breads and fruits (continental breakfast). More substantial options were available for purchase. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights in mid December and thoroughly enjoyed it. Property is walkable to the Zocalo, Mercatos, St.Domingo church, Jalatlaco and the ADO bus station. comfortable bed, great breakfast choices. Staff are exceptional, Bring ear plugs as you can hear noise from courtyard and street. Highly recommend this property. An oasis in the city.

We were delighted by the warm and excellent experience at the hotel, since our arrival Ale and Eve were so supportive and with a charming service attitude. We were really happy as the hotel location is ideal to walk as it is in a middle point between El Zócalo and the Jalatlaco Neighborhood. The room was so clean and the beds are wonderful to sleep. The breakfast is 10/10, we really enjoyed it. Please eat a lot of candies from the reception and drink some of the mezcal courtesy, they really add up to your experience. We hope to return soon to meet more of the wonderful Oaxaca!

The staff were great and the location and property were perfect for the needs we had. The heating in the room did not work the first night but you provided a heater for the second night and that worked. The breakfast was not very good. The overall stay was very good but did not rise to the level of "excellent".
