I LOVE the proximity of this hotel to the beach. Our view was beautiful. Each staff member we encountered was so very kind. However, they all were clearly ran ragged. They did make every effort to help us with anything we needed, but the hotel has a policy where there is housekeeping every third day for extended stay guests. Our room wasn’t cleaned at all & we were there for 7 nights. We would put our note out listing our requests (replacement towels, toilet paper, etc.) and we received most of the items. People are putting their dirty towels in piles in the hallway, and all their bags full of trash. The staff is working hard…there just simply aren’t enough of them.

Disappointed with Cleanliness and Overall Experience Upon arrival, I was disappointed to find that the room had not been properly cleaned. Items from a previous guest were still under the bed, and the presence of flies and other bugs made the stay uncomfortable. While the hotel does benefit from a convenient location within walking distance to popular dining spots and with the beach directly behind it that was unfortunately the only highlight. The complimentary breakfast was unappetizing and offered very limited options. Unless there are significant improvements in cleanliness and overall service, I do not plan to stay at this property again.

We had a bad experience with this hotel. The room was smelling moldy and old, the furnitures were dusty and outdated. We also asked for the cleaning service one day including vacuuming and cleaning our bathroom, they didnt clean at it all! The beds weren’t made as well!. The hallway was also very duty. The breakfast was very disappointing, there were just waffles and bagels. We spoke to the manager about our smelly room, he told us he was going to check it room out, and he never came to see it! We just felt like they didn’t care about the cleanliness and presentation not only in the rooms but in general! When we booked this place I thought by staying at a ‘franchise name’ would be better taken care of, but unfortunately we were wrong! Please avoid booking with them!

We had reserved the King bed with Upgrade, which in the pictures shows a beach/oceanview. When we checked in we received a room overlooking the parking lot and an obstructed ocean view. We then spoke to the manager who informed us that is the room that we had booked and paid for (upgrade??). He told us the rooms that overlook the beach are in fact, economy king rooms and cost about $100 more per night than what we paid. He offered to split the difference with us, if we wanted to upgrade. Then he just gave us the room w/o an up charge. He was very nice to fix the problem for us, but they really need to update their photos and descriptions for the rooms on Expedia. Many of the photos for the “economy” and the king “upgrade” are the same photos, more than a little misleading. Other than that the hotel is great! Friendly, helpful staff; great location; beautiful view.

Hotel is older and needs some TLC. Hallways were dirty. The fridge did not work on arrival but was addressed immediately with a replacement. The microwave was rusted inside. The rest of the room seemed clean enough. Good location in OC and beachfront, price was not outrageous but when/if they choose to refurbish then the rates will be less affordable. You get what you pay for.
