The hotel is dated, however; the staff were working and cleaning the whole time we were there. They are super friendly and the place is very well kept. If you are a beach person this is the hotel to stay at. You can bring food and cook, right on the beach, or eat at the restaurant right in the hotel. No crowds and quiet area.

Room 127, the bathroom light is extremely bright, almost blinding, especially when one has to get up multiple times each night. Also the toilet rocks, okay once you get used to it but unsettling the first time around.

Cleaning the vent that is located in the large atrium would be a very good start. The fish/turtle pond was so dirty we could not see the fishes or turtle without leaning down close to the water. The curtains were dirty in the room and there was a shortage of pillows. The staff was very friendly and pleasant, and when we had difficulty with the in room safe, a maintenance person came to repair it within 10 minutes. Keep the staff, clean the building.

Where to start! Stayed at this horrible hotel from 9/13 thru 9/18. Checked into room 114 after 6hr drive. Room was rundown, figured since it was on the first floor, access to the beach, might be weathered. Did what most ppl do, unpack, head to the boardwalk. Came back to the hotel at 11pm, started getting ready for bed...then water starts pouring from the kitchenette ceiling! Immediately went to the front desk. A very incapable attendant declares that he will have to put in a work order and that we would need to move rooms...like no kidding buddy! Get moved to what they call the cottage off site...this feels all too routine for them. So we pack up quickly, in our pj's, moved across the street to the cottage (rather rundown halfway house more like it) around 1am on our very first night. Finally get to sleep at 3am. Get a call at 9am from the front desk...I hear you had some issues with your room last night (ya think!) Que the car salesman pitch...we can set you up on the 4th floor for the rest of your stay...we need to get you out of the cottage by 11am. Okay but reason I picked hotel was of the direct access of 1st floor! Paid more expensive price (even tho front desk swears there is no price difference and can't do anything because I booked thru Expedia). Fine give me the damn room, already wasted a day dealing with this! Other fun activities...a fire alarm test from 11am-12pm the 3rd day. Laundry that doesn't work. Dirty everywhere! 5am emergency evacuation day of check out

First night in our room went to bathroom in the middle of the night turned the light on saw a roach. Happened again on the second night. Beds very springy heard every move. Just needs some serious updating. Also to walk into the entrance had to walk through people smoking weed right there. Should be a place designated for that away from the building.
