We wanted to love it, but not as nice as we had hoped based on previous beachfront experiences in OIB. Management company was great to work with— very professional and responsive where they could be when we expressed concerns. However, not all of our problems could be addressed during our stay because they were long-term, chronic maintenance/upkeep issues that appear to have been long overlooked. In short, the home and its furnishings are very tired and in need of deep cleaning, inspection, and refresh. Pros: very responsive and professional rental company, well-maintained pool, good location in OIB, well stocked beach gear closet Cons: very worn and stained living room furniture that needs to be replaced, saggy and uncomfortable mattresses, creaky bed frames, big cockroach problem (NOT water bugs as the sign on the fridge tries to explain), gnat/drain fly problem in the kitchen, disappointing main deck (worn wooden decking, upper deck doesn’t protect it from the rain, tattered table and chairs, no rocking chairs or Adirondacks), two of the showers leaked water under the shower doors and drenched the bathroom floors, various smaller maintenance issues (broken blinds in the kitchen, not enough lamps throughout the house, wobbly handrails, disorganized kitchen, closets with random decor and clutter, etc)

The location of the property is perfectly placed on the beachfront. There is plenty of room for two families of 5. The house is starting to show some wear and tear but nothing out of the ordinary. House was clean and property management was very responsive.

The bday stay

Beds are hard. Roaches are big. Metal beds with metal springs are terribly uncomfortable and need to be replaced with real beds. The appliances, dish washer and stove, have broken parts that need to be permanently fixed. The door knob needs to be replaced. That door frame needs to be shaved for easier access from the porch. We liked the addition so cameras on the parking level and codes to enter the cottage. We stayed at this cottage when it was brand new and for many summers afterwards. The improvements are ver nice. There is also a strange lump on the bedroom floor next to the kitchen.This was always our favorite cottage. With a few improvemp

Girlfriends' Beach Trip

We were a group of 8 girlfriends on an annual beach trip. Aside from the weather, we had a very good stay. The property manager was very responsive and checked in several time during our visit. The property is conveniently located on the beach.

Everything was perfect!

We had the best time. The house was perfect for us, our children and grandchildren! The house was clean and well stocked. The management was very responsive responding to our questions within minutes. It truly was like being home but with the ocean in our backyard. Beautiful beach! Great Holiday, Comfy Beds

We are a group of over 60s women. The location was great. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were very clean. There were a couple of nice Trex rockers on the porch and fabulous beach chairs available. The pool was clean and so was most of the house. It appeared that some grungy pirates had been hanging out here before us, though. There was a shower curtain liner that was beyond cleaning, so we threw it out. The upholstery on the inside and outside furniture was noticeably dirty, too many pirates using it, I guess. We visited at the end of the season, so I imagine everything will be cleaned and Pirates Booty will be ship shape soon, if it isn’t already. Ahoy!

Nice property

Property was nice. Clean and good location, Rob, the property manager was very responsive to any questions. Property didn’t have as many amenities as some of the other homes we have stayed at in OIB. No games, and a little short on some kitchen amenities, but otherwise, it was good.

Master and one other br mattress were terrible. Grill was filthy, we cleaned it. Other grill had a coat hanger for a handle. LR furniture dirty. Need more silverware, we cleaned the oven. The layout was great, we liked the pool and closeness to the beach.

Unbelievably beautiful!

When you open the door and step into this place, it takes your breath away. It is really that pretty. Everything is new and updated, and there are things there to make your stay more comfortable, even little items like a garlic press, or tons of great skillets. Wonderful view, plenty of seating and open spaces
 And the pool was a nice touch
 I believe it was heated. The ocean is very close by, and there are two levels of balconies, one for kids and family, and one on the upper level for a more private viewing of the ocean. The only complaint that I have is there was a slight misunderstanding with some of our belongings when we arrived in the inspection crew accidentally picked them up and took them. But the host was kind enough to replace some of our bath towels, and had them sent over right away. also, the banister to the upper bedrooms is a little wobbly, and one of the spokes kept popping out, but maintenance came over immediately to fix it, but I believe it needs a little bit more attention. Also, it would be nice if there were rugs in the master bathroom, the shower doors are glass and the floors are slick when wet and it was sometimes tough to maneuver safely. Really these are very minor things, the host always responded quickly to any question that I had, even on Mother’s Day! And I cannot express enough how absolutely beautiful this place is in person. The pictures don’t do it justice.

Relaxing Vacation with Beautiful Views

We had a great stay at the house! Beautiful views and the heated pool was the perfect addition to a relaxing vacation. All of the rooms were clean and had everything we needed. So nice to take a stroll on the beach at any time of day. The property managers were very accommodating and answered us right away when we needed bath mats. We will definitely be back!

Early beach trip

Had a great time at this house. It was clean and the views were awesome. It's great watching the sun come up sipping a cup of coffee listening to the waves rolling in, and then in the evening watching the sun go down. Very relaxing!

Great location and space

We stayed here with our family (5 adults + a toddler) in October and really enjoyed the convenience of the house right on the beach! The pool was a nice option as well. There was plenty of space for all and loved the view off the back of the house to watch sunsets/sunrises. The shower in the master bedroom was wonderful, and newly updated. It did lack some amenities like beach towels, umbrella and beach chairs that we thought would come with the beach rental, but otherwise a great house!! We would come back again and stay here.

Great House for Family Vacation

Our overall experience with the property was great! The pool was very convenient for the small kids and the beach was just a short walk away. Some of the house beach gear (chairs and umbrella) were not in good shape but we brought our own.
