I highly recommend The Hotel Oceanside!!! It was a great experience! Beginning with check in, Tony was so professional and got us going FAST! We arrived late at night and he served us well. We booked the Suite which was SO WORTH IT! 2 floors, lower floor living room with futon, restroom and small kitchenette with mini fridge, sink, coffee, microwave, glass plates/cups & utensils for us to use. Top floor bedroom with King bed, desk and ocean view in the distance. Not far from the beach but best to drive. Denny’s is a five minute walk, In-N-Out Burger across the street, Harbor cafe which is also a six minute walk and highly recommended! An excellent Italian restaurant also a six minute walk called Venetos Cucina Italiana another I highly recommend! We slept SO GOOD and peaceful, and we did not hear any other guests from our room. We can’t wait to have another lowkey and peaceful stay at The Hotel Oceanside!! Thank you so much!!

I really enjoyed the stay. Great location close to the beach. A/C worked okay but not great. Hotel staff don’t say much. But overall worth the stay. Rooms are very clean.

This was a great choice for the one night that we needed. Felt secure, clean and quite spacious compared to most double bed rooms. The only negatives I can think of was the a/c wasn't quite cooling the room enough... It was a tad warm for us. If we were going to be there longer I might have asked for a fan. Also, the stripping around the door (going into the hall) was pretty non-existent. You could see a ton of light through the sides. Just more of an observation that a complaint. It might have bothered some.

Property was suppose to be dog friendly. I had gotten the keys and went to dinner at Swami's, excellant. Went to pick up the dogs, live in Oceanside, entered the room which was hot. Turned the AC on and unloaded our things. My wife went to the front desk and asked if output from AC blows at all, said they just output a little at a time. The hallway and front desk area were hot too. Other hotel guests complained about areas in the hotel being hot. Waited 45 minutes, it was cooler outside than in our room. We left asked for refund, Manager too busy working Ramada then to contact me. Just sent bill. Was asked to change rooms but dogs were getting a heat stroke and assume all rooms to be same. My room 108. Don't let your loved ones stay here. No way to treat locals or other travelers

Beautiful weather.

The odor in the room was overbearing when we arrived. I had to keep the qindow open to ventilate the air. It was a strong urine odor. The hallway temperature was hot. Parking was convenient. Bed was comforable. Full size fridge and kitchenette was a big plus.

Great location, very clean, easy check-in. The only thing that wasn't great was the room's air conditioning. Did not work well at all in the room and the lobby, elevator, and hallways were also really hot to walk into at all times.

COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING...

THE STAY WAS FINE. ROOM WAS AS ADVERTISED. ON THE 2ND DAY OF OUR STAY, A MAN OPENED THE DOOR ON US. THE FRONT DESK BOOKED HIM INTO OUR ROOM. I KNOW IT WAS A MISTAKE BUT THE OWNER WAS THERE AND AWARE OF IT AND MADE NO EFFORT TO COMP A NIGHT OR MAKE ANY EFFORT TO SATISFY OUR STAY. JUST SORRY ABOUT THAT.

Itching and plastic bed. Unexpected service fees

I have a service dog but was charged because it was not for seizures or blindness so they don’t allow any other service dogs which caused an additional 33.75 fee that was not accounted for. In addition maid tried to open our door at 930. Checkout is at 11 while on a conference call with my company. The bed is wrapped in plastic so you move and you will hear the crinkle of plastic. So uncomfortable. I was itching all night could barely sleep. I travel 8 months out of the year. This is the first time it’s happened to me. I am still itching after check out. Not a great experience.
