Thank you for the opportunity to stay at Red Beard's Retreat. We didn't spend a lot of time in the suite. But the time we spent was nice. The property is very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for a four day get away to the island!

This was a great location- it was quiet and close to many things. The rooms were spacious and we fit four adults, a child, and 2 dogs somewhat comfortably. The two complaints would be that there is only one parking spot for the suite. We had two vehicles and two golf carts. If we didn’t have a nearby place that other family was staying that we could leave our car at, im not sure what we would have done. We could barely fit the golf carts with the one vehicle we were able to have at the property. The floors were also dirty. It smelled very clean when walking in but the moment our 1 year old started crawling around we noticed how dirty the floors were. It didn’t even seem like a swiffer was used. It was otherwise a clean unit and had everything we needed.

Host was quick to respond to my user error in working the air conditioning units. The house was spotless. My son left his retainer and they contacted us and are mailing them to us. We will stay here again. The only thing to keep in mind is that the rain runs off the roof right on to the pathway into the house. Only a slight inconvenience.

Great stay!

Very responsive owner and walkable to shops. The main drag is one block away which in the summer means walking gets you there almost as fast as your car. If you bring your pet, there is a nice small private backyard for potty breaks full of active tiny frogs which my pup loved. There is also a mature fig tree! The home is very organized between the four suites and everyone was respectful. We were in Suite 1 which is generously sized with a huge shower and its own outdoor side entrance, elevated away from the neighbor. That was really nice as I didn’t have to worry about who may be nearby when coming and going with the dog.

Great location. First time in 2 bedroom apt. Had friends visit for 2 of our 4 days. Host (Kelly) was so easy to contact and answered all our questions. Parking is very tight, but we knew this. All was good.

Girls get away

My daughter and I stayed here to have a week away from stress and anxiety of life. We enjoyed the get away so much! The house was clean and inviting. Minutes away from everything! We will definitely go back!

Very nice. Owners have put a lot of work into the property. Only suggestions is add a cutting board and dish rack for when dishes are drying. Overall great place. Will stay again

Well located, comfortable unit

This was a nice, clean and well located unit. TV had Netflix, but I suspect that may have been from a prior guest. Some noise from unit next door, dog barked when it heard us, and conversations could be heard as well. Nice shower, owner provided extension cord for charging golf cart.

Awesome Location!

The suite was much bigger than we thought it would be. Which was fantastic for the four of us! The location was perfect! And we were lucky to get Suite One
 Where we had enough room in the driveway to park a six person golf cart. (We had a baby with us who had to be in a car seat.) I would say the only complaint would be that the cleaning staff does not seem to clean the floors. They sweep them
 But you can’t walk barefoot on them or your feet will turn black. Other than that, we had a wonderful time! Check in and check out were very easy and the property managers are very communicative! I would definitely stay there again!

Great place to stay in Ocracoke

Parking is tight but that’s how it is everywhere in Ocracoke. Place was clean and spacious for me, my husband, baby, and two dogs. Property manager is easy to get a hold of if needed. Location is great.

Cute condo close to everything!

We truly enjoyed our stay. The condo was so clean when we first arrived, and had everything we needed. You wouldn’t know you were staying in a “studio” because we felt like we had plenty of space. Maria, who keeps the condos cleaned and stocked, was so sweet and I really enjoyed talking to her. She made sure we got extra towels/toilet paper when we needed them. The host was very responsive to all my questions and very accommodating. I will say that you do share walls with the other suites, and the first two nights we had very noisy neighbors who woke us up early, but that’s not the host’s fault. Just something to be aware of. There is a common room where they provide you drinking water as well as an awesome porch up front! And if you tell the host you’re renting a golf cart they will make sure you have an extension cord to charge it. We had such a wonderful vacation and I look forward to coming back.

Perfect getaway!

We were so blessed to find this gem for a last-minute, short getaway. Very clean, comfortable, easy check-in and out, great and friendly communication with owners and super cool AC! We will definitely be back! Hopefully sooner than later!
