We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back for more stays. The only thing missing was wash clothes and hand towels.I would add in the coffee is a kurig and not a actual coffee pot.I went to town and bought one for our stay.
We liked the country setting but the bed was bad, the oven broken, uncleaned grills, dirty microwave, the washer ruined our clothes, almost no seating inside. Wouldnt recommend especially ar a high price point.
Off the beaten path and close to parks for hiking. More cookware and such would help but very nice kitchen. Liked the wrap around porch with barbecues handy
Exact to the listing. Close to the state parks, but the weather went a little south on us, so we just stayed in and enjoyed the peace (we have 5 kids that didnât come with :). Weâll be back!
The location was perfect, the house was clean with quiet location. Difficulty with keypad on door- probably set at single use versus multiple check ins. Oven was broke, but countertop oven was available. Unusual set up with huge bathroom and with bed in the great room area next to front door.
Great property. Had a little trouble with the smart lock on the door, Joe unlocked remotely and was out shortly after with a regular key. Pleasure to work with and look forward to coming back
First, I have to talk about the host. He was so nice and replied to all my messages right away. Very easy to deal with and very accommodating.
Second, the place was a hidden gem. I fell in love with the house and everything about the property as soon as we got there. The house was clean and fully stocked. Loved the lay out of the cottage. The land was huge which was perfect for our fur baby. It had a treehouse which my husband loved and visited oftenâŠlol. It was so relaxing there, I didnât way to leave.
We will definitely visit again soon.
Great property, as advertised. Our plans centered around hiking in the local state parks, and it's the perfect location for that. Our needs were simple and they were met here. We stayed super cozy amid the blustery winds and rains of late March, and we loved that we could have our dog with us.
This was the perfect property for a weekend getaway. Simple place with ample room around the property for or dog to run. The big soaking tub was a major plus. Host was quick with communication & check in was easy. Would definitely book again!
I recommend bringing a white noise machine (or app) if youâre coming on a day that happens to be super windy (like it was for us!).
property owner was easy to reach and communicate with. He went way out of his way to prepare some extra things that we requested last minute. Great property and a great location. Don't miss this little gem.
Wonderful experience at this remodeled farmhouse in the country! Joe was great-if you like a clean, quiet, cozy place in the country-this is the place!
Great place on mutiple acres. The owners house is right behind the property so we kept the blinds closed on that side and left the porch side open to view acres of beautiful farmland. Had an amazing time hiking starved rock with the changing leaves in fall.
We are in town from NC for a wedding, and traveling with a 1yr pup. Booked a charming farmette in LaSalle CountyâŠ3-5 miles from friends, family, and Grand Bear Lodge (the wedding venue). It should be called Hidden GemâŠcharming, quiet, clean, & lots of yard for pup to run. 1 bed so max guests 2âŠBonus, need more room- there is another house on the property, just as cute and a bit bigger. Newly acquired in the past 2 mos, Joe (our VRBO host) just redid the house! It is so cute! Washer & dryer, dishwasher, blow dryer, all the amenities one would need! Close to Starved Rock State Park, Mathiessen Park, Utica- it is perfect for Fall Colors, Burgoo, etc. We will be back to this hidden gem!
