We enjoyed our stay immensely! Purpose of our stay was to hunt fourth season rifle elk but the highlight was our stay at the High & Mighty Cabin. The hunting was hard work but the cabin was comfortable and cozy. Scott the host was quick to respond, nice, and welcoming into his families cabin. I highly recommend for any Colorado season.
We have been staying at this cabin for years and in my opinion the best VRBO in the area for hunting, hiking, relaxing, or anything you dream up to do in the mountains. My wife stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it! Weâll be planning a family vacation stay this summer.Scott is the greatest host and very accommodating!Thank you for everything Scott!
A cabin with everything you need and beautiful views
Great cabin with everything necessary to spend a few days enjoying winter in Colorado. Very clean and cozy, and comfortable. Perfectly equipped kitchen. Ohio city is a very small area with just a few people living around, ideal for resting and enjoying beautiful winter views.
This is by far the best VRBO to stay at for hunting in Colorado unit 55. The owner is very easy to work with and accommodating if you need to extend your stay. This property is beautiful!
My friends and I have been staying there for years to hunt and I personally give the property the highest recognition!
Thank you,
Nice quiet location. Not much nightlife in o Ohio City but it was perfect for us. It was just my husband and I but there was plenty of room for many more. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of utensils. Had everything we needed
We really enjoyed the cabin. It is in the most beautiful place and very clean. Has everything you need for a great stay and looking forward to going again next year
Cabin was wonderful.. beautiful area.. clean, nicely stocked with items..the only thing i would advise people especially couples. The upstairs is all beds.. you can sleep a huge group but just not alot of privacy!! But i would stay again
The cabin was very nice, clean and well maintained. Love the area have been around there before. The only downside is having to trailer in and out, its only 6 miles but adds at least 30 minutes on each end. with a combination of jeeps, side by sides and dirt bikes it means at the days end you are sitting in pitken waiting on the slower machines. Not a total deal breaker, just something to keep in mind when booking!
Very peaceful mountain town. Great 4-wheeler trails! Super fun giant teepee in the backyard. The house was excellent. Lots of thirsty hummingbirds so bring your hummingbird feeder! We had a blast!
Beautiful cabin surrounded by mountains! We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin was clean and very well built. Had plenty of parking for both our large trailers of offroad toys. Only complaint, which really isnt a complaint because we knew the local rules is you cant ride from the cabin to the close trails in the area. Wasnt a problem as pitkin is just a few minutes up the road.
My family wanted to visit Pitkin for a couple days to visit the grave of a family member that was buried in the Pitkin cemetery decades ago. This was an ideal location to be near to Pitkin. It was a short drive to the Stumbling Moose for dinner, and we explored the nearby jeep and dirt bike trails. The house really had most everything we needed for a short stay. They had some board games, and the remodeled bathrooms were really nice. The home was really beautiful. The only odd part of the house is the sleeping arrangements are a little weird, the main bedroom has a double bed and a couple bunk beds. You have to access the smaller bedroom through the first bedroom, and it has the twin bunk beds, but they are very small beds, they donât seem to be standard length. And the fire place wasnât actually usable. Overall it was a great place to stay though.
The cabin was in a great location for us for dirt biking in the area. Beautiful cabin fully stocked with everthing we needed for the time we were there. The area was beautiful and very relaxing as well. Hope to stay again next year
