The positives of this cabin are its proximity to Salt Fork State Park. We also enjoyed the hot tub and how quiet the area was. However, the listing describes the cabin as being in a private setting which simply isn't true. The cabin is right off a gravel road and is situated in a ring of 3 other cabins right within view. If you're looking for privacy this isn't it. The cabin seemed to be lacking some comforts like warm blankets as the upstairs bedrooms don't get very warm in March even with the thermostat up to 72. Both my husband and I also hit our heads several times on the slanted low ceiling boards. Overall it's a rustic cabin with a few creature comforts l, but feel like for the price we paid the listing itself was misleading.
The cabin was nice and clean. However, the whole cabin was unlevel. The floors were slanted. Since the floors were unlevel the toilet wouldnât flush correctly because the water level couldnât refill properly when flushed. None of the batteries worked in the remotes for the TV etc. Had to go buy batteries. Also, there is a tree limb that kept scraping the metal roof.
