Good hotel! Quite a LOOONG walk from the main street, down cobblestones, which was impossible with a wheeled suitcase, so I carried it on my shoulder about 500 metres.

Apu Lodge was a charming place to stay. We really enjoyed the patio area and the beautiful views, along with the sound of the river from our balcony. The room had everything we needed for our trip, and the breakfast was outstanding. However, the only aspects we didn’t like were the carpet on the floor and the loud noise from the bathroom extractor fan.

What an amazing place! Wish we had stayed longer. The views are breath-taking and it's located 0.2miles away from the din of the central square but is easily walkable. The breakfast spread was spectacular and made with fresh ingredients. Overall a great experience!

We arrived very late at night to the hotel. It was very difficult to find, even when using google maps. We had to call someone to help us find where to go. It was a straight uphill and on a very bumpy cobblestone street, which wasn't a pleasant experience at night and in the dark. However, the staff was incredibly helpful and came out to find us and help us with our bags the rest of the way up to the hotel. The room was very clean, spacious, and nice. Breakfast was tasty and they were very accommodating.

Very pretty grounds.. stayed just a night but wished we would have stayed longer. Very clean with everything you would need for the night. Accommodated an early breakfast before our departure for Machu Picchu. Easy walk to the center of the town and to the train station. You can also walk to the center of the town and take a Tuk-Tuk to the train station. Overall I would stay here again!!!

The individuals who greeted us were so helpful...my wife had arrived with a bout of stomach flu. They bent over backwards providing special tea to calm her stomach from altitude sickness, brought additional blankets to keep her warm...I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were.
