Caribe Stay

We had the best stay at the Caribe D803. The condo was stunning, fully stocked and in the perfect location. The resort has so much to offer and was a treat all on its own. It was loved by all in our group, ranging from teens to grandparents. We can't wait for our next stay!

We absolutely love staying at the Caribe. This was our 4th stay at this property, but out first time booking through Beachball. We were happy with the condo, everything was clean and in working order. We had plenty of towels, bedding was adequate, etc. We were extremely annoyed, however, by the checkin process. We had to drive almost 20 minutes out of our way to pick up the room keys, which was tough after a 16 hour drive to Orange Beach. We then had to drive back to the Beachball office to return the keys at the end of our stay. Again, out of our way and the last thing you want to do before hitting the road to travel. We have never had this experience with any other rental company and we've been visiting the Alabama beaches for over 10 years and the Caribe for 4 years. There has got to be another way to make this experience better for your guests - other rental companies have figured it out (leaving keys with security at the gate or under the mat at the condo, for example).

We had a great time at the Caribe. The condo was spacious and very clean. Thank you for the starter kit. For a short trip it was all we needed. The view of the Bay was amazing! We love staying at the Caribe and enjoying all the amenities. We will definitely stay in this condo again!

Relaxing weekend

The condo was great, and the amenities were amazing. The only thing that wasn't ideal was maintenance showing up at 9am to repair a TV that he thought we reported, but we did not, and he also had to change the a/c filter (which is understandable), it was just unexpected, and early on vacation. Other than that everything was great.

Would definitely stay there again

First of all, Caribe is one of the best locations on the Alabama Gulf Coast. It's a newer property with large units, great views, a lazy river, multiple pools, a marina, nice workout facilities, and many other amenities. The unit we stayed in was immaculate and the view of the bay was incredible. My friends kept commenting on how beautiful the view was, even when the weather was bad. I've also stayed on the Gulf side, which has wonderful views, but the Bay side is even better. The communication from Beachball Properties was excellent and we had no issues with check-in. I definitely recommend this property for anyone who's planning a trip to Orange Beach.

Great Property

Great Property, Great Location, Kids loved the pools and the lazy river. I do have to say after an 18 hour drive we showed up at the location, we were unable to get in and had to go to a separate location to pick up keys. We received instructions right at the check in time which was inconvenient since we were already at the property. Instructions a couple days ahead of time would have been helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Condo

This is a great condo for what we needed it to be. The views were great and the space was nice. The communication from BeachBall Properties was not very good. We were driving all day and they sent communication only the day of with check-in information. This made us have to backtrack down to their offices to get our keys and parking passes. Not very well organized from their part. The condo was great though.

We love Caribe we just did not enjoy the experience with Beachball Properties. We had a list of very valid complaints and waited two days didn’t hear back until we called. They did send a maintenance person but all wasn’t handled - ie we (very clearly) said the tub was stopped up in the guest bath but the maintenance person left a note of all things he inspected and said “the toilet is fine”. We’ve stayed at Caribe for a number of years and this was the worst experience

Condo was great. Property needs improvement

This condo was very spacious, clean, and well stocked. Comfy beds and plenty of room. The balcony was fantastic for watching the sunset. We enjoyed the condo very much but The Caribe is definitely not a place I’d visit again due to the lack of security/attendants at the pools. The actual Caribe property is in need of improvements and the staff was very rude/not helpful. The pools were packed every day and our group of 4 had trouble finding even 1 or 2 chairs to place our things on. Large groups would come down early in the morning to place towels on the pool chairs to “save” for whenever they felt like coming down later in the day. My husband and I sat on the side of the pool with all of our things while 1 single man guarded his group’s 8 chairs. We sat for over an hour before any one joined him and even then, not all of their group showed up to use the chairs. I asked if he’d be willing to give up even 1 and he said no. This was the general attitude of every one at the facility. Tons are large groups with very loud speakers, and beer cans stacked on the side of the pool and even stacked in the “water fall” areas where the pools change levels. Trash cans literally overflowing on to the ground with beer cans and food boxes. No staff ever asked any one to be respectful of other people’s space. Kids running all over with no parents around. Both of my daughters cut their feet on the tiles in the pool. No one attending the water slides, while large groups of teenagers and even adults would come down at the same time crashing into smaller kids. Loud and rambunctious people using foul language and visibly drunk/rude and just overall annoying. Not my kind of place. Lesson learned.

Nice condo, but the property is aging

We've spent a few summers at Caribe. The condo itself was great, but the property is aging. Lots of broken tiles in the pool. Hot tubs that don't work. The lazy river just looks dirty. Had a few incidents that were not fun - a boy punched my son in the pool, a young woman sitting near the hot tubs in the middle pool - probably drunk - exposed and played with her privates in front of my children. Fortunately I don't think they noticed. There was a young adult swimming in the middle pool with a house arrest ankle monitor covered by a trash bag. And our last morning there we woke and evacuated to a false fire alarm down a stairwell full of unmasked people. The beaches are lovely. I'm not sure we'll be back to Caribe.

FANTASTIC Condo!!

You can tell this condo is owned by a person (not a rental co.) and it shows! Beautifully decorated w/ quality furniture and amenities. Staying here has convinced us to look at buying a condo at the Caribe of our own. You can book this condo with confidence. I’ve stayed elsewhere at the Caribe and noticed the difference.

OUTSTANDING!

This was my first time to Caribe with my kids & it was incredible. The unit itself had everything you could possibly want in a vacation rental, and then some. I love that all of the Caribe units have higher-end appliances & built-in ice makers. This unit was very well stocked with kitchen supplies. The Caribe property is great - kids loved the water slides, pools, & lazy river. I was a little concerned about not staying directly on the beach like we normally do, but it was very easy to access the beach from the resort. I'm already looking at available dates for this unit in June & July.

Did not enjoy, docks broken, up charge to park a boat that could not be used, security guards constantly asking for id’s for our drinks, just constantly harassed no peace of mind with this resort to many rules for the cost
