We spent our spring break here and loved our relaxing stay. We were lucky enough to get an early check in which was great. The view of the beach from the living room, kitchen and balcony was worth the price alone. Never got tired of waking up and sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee.
The beach is amazing, even during spring break there was more than enough room to set up shop and have our kids play in the sugar soft sand all day. We did think having a "downtown" would have been nice, but that probably would have just made it busier than it was, so no complaints there.
The restaurants in the area were average, but we spent most of our time cooking in the unit, and there is a great grocery store just down the street.
The indoor pool was a bit hectic when then weather wasn't great, so check out the state park down the road for some good outdoor time. The lazy river and waterslide were great for our younger kids, but I will say it is definitely not heated.
The view and the beach were worth the price alone, such a great stay and worth the 16 hour drive!
