The house was great, short ride to Disney, great community, fun water park (couldnât bring in your own food so that was a bummer). Would stay here again
Clean and as advertised. Arranged for an early check in, but there was in issue with the door lock. I called and the company promptly sent someone out to resolve the issue
Lovely place to stay. Comfortable beds and plenty of items to use in the kitchen. The kids room was great and we enjoyed playing the old video game in the room. It would be nice to have more than 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. The couch covers have stains. The door lock needs to be check - it was not smooth and had to be tried multiple times. The location was nice and central to most activities. The waterpark is fun.
Although the overall stay was enjoyable, the pictures are quite old. There were stains all over the inside furniture, mold over the table and chairs outside, and overall not what the images portrayed online. When we arrived well after check-in hours, the cleaning crew was still there- the house was a mess and we were pushed into a single bedroom while they tried to quickly clean the entire place. Needless to say, we ended up cleaning the house and sheets before we could sleep that night. I was very disappointed and will not be going back.
The Reunion Resort is really wonderful with lots of amenities. Make sure you check everything out when you arrive to get the lay of the land. We went to the front desk when we got there to get our wristbands, key card and they were very helpful in providing a map of the resort along with the schedule of restaurant/pool hours.
The condo itself is really so comfortable and welcoming and represented accurately in the pictures. It's decorated beautifully and has lots of space to spread out so you don't feel like you're on top of one another. We didn't use the Disney shuttle because we wanted to get there early, but just note you have to work it out a couple days in advance. The best part for our 9 year old was that the resort water park with lazy river and slide is just a short half-block walk away which is great because there is no parking there. Publix, Dunkin, Starbucks and CVS are just minutes away by car off the resort.
A couple very, very minor suggestions that didn't take away from the experience, but would make it even better. Consider providing information about restaurants/amenities nearby along with the resort map in the condo to help minimize the "settling in" process. Also, there were dishwasher pods, but maybe a sponge or rag to wipe down kitchen and dishwashing liquid. It has pretty much EVERYTHING else you could need aside from that. We loved it.
The quick version of my review is that the property is as advertised, clean and could have been comfortable. If I had it to do over again, I would pick another property not managed by Florida Vacation Homes.
Be aware that VRBO is essentially just the "portal" for this property. You'll be asked to sign an extensive contract with Florida Vacation Homes. This is the first time I've encountered this and wouldn't do it again.
If there's one thing you should know before you rent through Florida Vacation Homes it's that you are agreeing to allow them to control the heating and cooling temperature while you're in the unit. We were warm and tried to turn the thermostat below 72 to cool things off. I was informed that in the contract I signed, it states that I wasn't allowed (per their representative Jerelle) to have the temperature below 74 so I should be glad it was going down to 72. I emailed and called to try to get resolution but got a curt response letting me know that I had contractually agreed to the temperature settings.
This unit is in the Reunion Resort. We had stayed in this neighborhood for years, but it's showing its wear and decline. Also, Verizon users will have NO cell service in this condo. The water park is fun, but there was usually a line to enter. Keep this in mind as you'll be paying for the option to enter the park but may not be able to do so.
As listed above, I have mixed opinions but given the chance I'd pick another option.
