A gem of a house!

This house is fantastic! Everything was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Lots of special touches, like fresh cut flowers on the tables, a beautiful landscaped yard with outdoor patio, and a large screened porch with dining table for enjoying the breeze. Cable TV and Internet access worked flawlessly, and the owner was easy to reach and very helpful with scheduling and anything else that came up. It’s a short bike ride to the Cape Cod Rail Trail and Skaket Beach, and there’s a great outdoor shower for when you get back to the house. There wasn’t a hint of dampness or stale air, even in the basement laundry area. The pictures in the listing don’t give you a sense of how beautiful and spacious the house is. In thirty years of renting cottages at the cape, this is by far the best place I’ve stayed in; I’m looking forward to coming back next year!

Family Get-Away

The house is lovely and in an ideal location. You can walk to the beach and the bike path is also very close. The kitchen is fully stocked and easy to use , ( bring your coffee pot) with a fabulous screened in porch for family dinners. There is also a lovely patio for relaxing and a large grill. The gardens are also very nice. My kids enjoyed the outdoor shower. The house is small but well laid out, we appreciated being able to bring our elderly dog. With one bedroom and bathroom downstairs my elderly parents were able to join us. The downstairs shower leaks out the door due to the placement of the shower head but other than that it was a great week!

Renters Beware

20+ years vacationing on Cape Cod and we have never encountered such an abominable owner. A formal complaint has been registered with VRBO regarding this individual. 3 days prior to arrival billed additional cleaning fee as 14 consecutive days deemed 2 separate weeks. When questioned response was “if not paid reservation could be cancelled”. Also informed upstairs shower not usable. Day 9 contacted owner regarding toilet not filling consistently & dishwasher not cycling. Owner accused us of breaking both. Billed $500 due within 6-hours or we would be forced to vacate premises without a refund for remaining days. Owner claimed “pristine” property yet arrived to clumps hair & dirt in dresser drawers, stained blanket, animal hairs on mattress covers & washing machine smelled moldy. Response to inquiry regarding misleading photo was “No one else complained” and “I hope this is not going to be complaint after complaint”. Think twice before booking this property as you too could be extorted.
