The communications with property management was great. There’s only 1 shower and 1 commode, the beds were very hard that gives me back pain every night, the A/C unit in the outside room doesn’t work. The WiFi for our last 2 days was almost non-existence. It was about 10 minutes walk to Dontonbouri.
The host allowed double bookings, even I reconfirmed the stay with the host just 1 week before the trip to ensure that there will be no problem.
My family and I could not check in as there were other guests staying in the room. The host was not responsible for the incident at all. It was after mid-night during the Japan golden week period. My family with small children and the elderly could not find a new hotel in for first night as all hotels were fully booked.
Luckily, the Expedia staff, named Chada, was very supportive to find us a new place for the rest of the trip. Big thanks to her for helping us during the difficult time.
