They have complementary shuttles you can call using a cellphone available for guest from the Ogoto Onsen Station, and also scheduled rides back to the station. We had such a great time. We had the room with the open air bath which was great. The temperature could have been higher but it was plenty warm. The staff were helpful but ultimately gave us the wrong information for the restaurants on 2 of the 3 days. The shuttle service does not run from Ostu station and despite me telling them that’s where we will be, we ultimately found out that it’s the wrong station and ended up taking a taxi. The location is also not that great. If you were expecting something like Hakone, it’s a bit less secluded and very urban. The breakfast was good but lacked variety. Dinners were great and very filling.

Biwako Ryokusuitei was absolutely stunning in every way. The scenery was beautiful, the room in which I stayed was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful with a splendid view. And the staff was was incredibly kind and went out of their way to ensure our stay was as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It was a perfect stay.
