The booked room was not ready due to "leaks". I had to change rooms. The AC was broken and room temperatures climbed over 25 degrees with no solution provided by staff. There was no hot water for bathing in the entire building. Room keys did not work even after 6 attempts, required escort from a janitor. Again no solution. Elevators get periodically stuck. After bringing issues to the attention of the staff they flatly said they were sorry there was nothing they could do, as managers aren't on duty on weekends. The only known manager refused to speak to me on the phone, instead had another desk agent raise their voice and refuse accountability.

The wall sockets inside our room and bedside lamps are not working and they could not provide an extension cord (to connect to the ones in the washroom) or any other means to resolve the problem. The hotel also did not have any hot water. We were also asked to get supplies from the lobby as they are understaffed and unable to help.

The fact that I booked the room for 5 peope (3 adults and 2 teenagers) and didnt have enough towels or any sheets to put on the 2 pull out sofas was a bit disappointing. Size of room was perfect! Hotel was under renovations so I fully understand the confusions...not having a pool was unfortunate but it was not the main purpose of our stay.

The hotel was fine overall — clean enough and in a good location close to downtown Gatineau and a short drive to Ottawa. The room was basic but did the job. Staff were polite, though not overly friendly or attentive. Some things could definitely be improved: the decor felt dated, and the walls were pretty thin, so I could hear noise from the hallway and other rooms. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable either. It’s an okay spot if you’re just looking for a place to sleep for a night or two, but don’t expect anything memorable.

I must say, my stay was horrible, from a dusty room, no hot water, pool closed and staff that was unhelpful nor sympathetic. Stay should have been heavily discounted or at least had free parking.Far from impressed, stay away!
