My best friend and I rented it for a week. We had a wonderful time there! The views were absolutely beautiful! We were even able to watch a pod of grey whales feeding off shore! There are lots of things to do nearby.and plenty of food options. I enjoyed having beach access where I was almost alone most of the time.I would recommend this house to anyone and everyone!!!!
Excellent beach view and decent access to the beach if you donât mind rope assistance. My two dogs and I didnât have any problems. The only drawback to this property is the steep access into the house and no yard for pets, however being on a dead end road made walking time easier. Owner is open about the Many stairs in this 4 level home. I did recommend a few cleaning items but otherwise an enjoyable stay for our week!
This was our fourth stay at this amazing property! We love the location, view and proximity to the beach. The house and balcony serve our family very well. Already booked for next summer!
The views were great however, the listing states there is a BBQ, so we decided to bring our dog and have a "staycation". We purchased expensive steaks and sausages to grill. We had all of our meals planned out, and when we arrived, there was no BBQ. Instead we were greeted with a boarded up patio, with a hand written sign saying "DO NOT ENTER WAITING TO REPLACE". I called the owner to inquire about the grill, and he said I could go purchase one and he would reimburse me. I said I was on vacation and did not want to do that. He said he was 3 hours away, and I said that I was 9 hours away and that it would have been nice if he would have let me know ahead of time. Tom said he would take 100 off our fee, and he could have a BBQ delivered by Thursday, or Friday. We arrived on Monday and were staying until the following Saturday. He said he had a friend that could bring one over in the meantime. That friend called us and said he couldn't bring it because he had a camper shell on his truck. I spoke with Tom again and he got defensive, worrying about me posting a bad review, and suggested I stay elsewhere. We drove 9 hours to have a vacation and don't appreciate the way the owner seemed offended that we were letting him know the house did not have what was advertised. Of course we stayed there, and he reimbursed me 250. The promised grill never showed up. The other reviews about the difficult parking and climb up to the house are accurate.
Property is as described. Gorgeous view . As others have mentioned, property is not for anyone with any mobility issues. House is actually 4 levels. Entry is main bath and laundry, upper floor is kitchen and living room, below entry two bedrooms, bottom floor, with quite steep stairs is another bedroom or den and second bath. Driveway is quite difficult to get into⊠I had to get out and guide my husband in each time. Plus sides are how beautiful the view is, nice and quiet with very few people, (except surfers!) around.exceptionally outfitted kitchen and wonderful deck. Younger folks will love this property and remote location. Also, there is a private beach access however the last 10 feet or so were washed out.. rope helped tremendously! All in all, very positive experience!
The location of the property was 10 out 10! I had a wonderful time! Loved watching the waves roll in and walked over to the Devils Punchbowl several times because it was so close by. I didnât realize from the website that the house was three levels, but if there are multiple visitors it would allow for more privacy. Loved having a washer and dryer on site.
Our family loves to get together, every year if possible. Since, between us, we have 5 dogs, this is not always easy. This welcoming beach home even has a separate stack of towels for the dogs! A much needed amenity. Long walks on the beach with the dogs are usually a twice a day event and loved by all.
This home was amazing, secluded but not to far from towns. Spacious with 3 levels. The view cannot be beat. Incredible views from every window. Both decks were amazing to enjoy. There is Beach Access nearby but not for those with any mobility issues. We really enjoyed being able to have quick beach access from the home Just as described. We will definitely be back.
Tomâs beach house is a very special place: isolated, peaceful, unbeatable views, comfortable beds/bedding, gorgeous path to the beach. We didnât cook but the kitchen looked to be well-stocked with everything you would need including some oils and spices. The driveway is narrow and can be tricky, but we had no problems in our midsized SUV. The house is a funky, split level on a cliff. It is not for those with mobility issues.Bottom line, we loved everything about this house and plan to return again and again.
We spent a couple of nights at the property. I reached out to the owner Tom a few times for some practical help regarding the home without any response. The house is dusty and needed some TLC. The access to the beach is consisted of a rope and a will to live. The best way is to walk out of the neighborhood and head to the punch bowl view point and use the stairs, about a 15 min walk. itâs not a good rental if you like to make your own meals at the property. Do read other reviews on the home layout if you have disabilities or elderly in the traveling group. For the cost of the rental Iâd stay somewhere else.
Beach access was washed out. One of us could make it down to the beach..and the dog could. Would have liked maybe a better description of where the bathrooms were in relation to beds and the many stairs. The incline at the driveway was hard to turn into. For us elderly types!
