Voco Spires - excellent stay.

Lovely hotel, comfortable beds, staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was buffet style and one of the nicest buffet breakfasts we have had, with a very good range of options. We also used the pool, poolside jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. There are towels in the spa area for you to use and shampoo, conditioner and shower wash in the changing room showers. There are also lockers which you use a PIN code to lock, so no change needed. We walked into Oxford along the Thames river path and enjoyed not being right in the centre. It took us around 15 minutes to get into Oxford and probably only 10 minutes to get the Christ College from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and the hotel had everything we needed, as well as enabling us to relax after a long day of sightseeing. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Perfect place for our family of 3 to spend 2 days visiting Oxford. Teenager slept in the sofa bed which he said was comfortable. Nice walk into town. Didn’t eat at hotel but dining looked nice. Would definitely return.

We really enjoyed the location of the property - very easily walkable to Oxford city centre (either on a pavement by the main road or along the river) - around 10-15mins but in a quieter and secluded location. Taxi took 10mins from the train station despite a bit of traffic (£6). Staff were very helpful as attentive, room was spacious with double aspect. Swimming pool was much smaller than expected and the changing areas could do with a bit more frequent cleaning (I was surprised that people were let into the main pool area in their shoes without plastic covers) but it was good enough for me and my son to have a splash for half an hour and a bit of a soak in the jacuzzi. Breakfast was very good although my rate did not include it and £20.95 felt steep but children come free so it ended up being good value. Overall would recommend for those who want to stay close to Oxford but not right in the centre.

great experience

Easy check in, great staff, wonderful food. Great view of the horses in the pasture, the geese, and birds. 3 minute walk to the Thames with a path that goes into Oxford. Fabulous.

Lovely hotel in great location

Lovely hotel in a great location just a short walk in to the centre of Oxford we walked along the river and got to see the students. The breakfast was excellent, staff were all helpful would highly recommend this hotel.
