Not exactly what we expected
First the positivesâŠ. Beautiful area, the house is well stocked in the kitchen, plenty of firewood cut to make a fire each night, lots of towels for the hot tub. The game room was nice. It has a small futon in it. There is no way 2 adults can sleep on it comfortably. Maybe 2 kids but I wouldnât let my kids stay out there alone at night. NegativesâŠ. the yard is very unkept. Grass was up to our knees. We picked this home because of the size and the creek in the back. The creek is a 15 to 20 foot steep incline with tons of big rocks. The photos make it look like you can sit by the creek. You canât! The house smelled like wet dog as soon as you walked in. The house is old. The towels that were supplied for the bathrooms look like they were bought at a garage sale 10 years ago. We had to wash them once when we were there because there were not enough washcloths for us. We only stayed 2 nights. I think the biggest thing people need to know is about the bathrooms. They are tiny! Especially the showers. If you are a bigger person expect youâre going to be sticking to the shower. The house has a no shoe policy. After a short time walking around the house our feet were black. The floors are very dark so you canât see the dirt but thereâs lots of it. We had a great time in Packwood and the national park. Such a beautiful area. Would I stay at the house againâŠ.Probably not.
