I expected the house to look "dated" but was instead impressed by its charm. I discovered more charming decor daily. With several questions, Sandy responded immediately. I enjoyed my stay and would love to stay again if I revisit Paducah. The dogs stayed home but would have loved the fenced yard! Just check that the back gate has been latched first. Beautiful! Clean! Close to everything including downtown and winery. Thanks!
Our family wanted a weekend away to relax and celebrate a special birthday. We drove over the river and through the streets until we arrived at Jefferson Street. The house was grand, and cozy and sweet. Not a single bad moment did we meet. We ate and played games and slept like babes in the house that we rented
Wife, I and our dog visited Paducah for 5 days so she could attend 2026 Paducah Quilt Show.We enjoyed the National Quilt Museum, as well as the Flood Wall Murals and the Lower Town Art District. Had a wonderful meal at The Freight House Restaurant and got to meet and visit with Executive Chef and owner.
The house is beautifully decorated and has so much room! We had a couple of issues that David and sandy took care of as quickly as possible. We already have plans to visit again at Thanksgiving! The neighborhood is an older neighborhood and is pretty quiet.
We so enjoyed our stay at this sweet house in a charming town. The home is just lovely -- clean and beautifully appointed, and far more spacious than it looks in photos or even from the street. It's filled with all the right kind of character and sits in a charming neighborhood. Proximity to town is great. Sandy was the consummate host -- kind, prompt, communicative. She was very generous with coffees, teas, hot chocolate, spices -- even dog treats. We didn't bring our dogs on this trip, but I wish we had. It's a perfect place for them with a nice, secure yard and all the human and doggie comforts one could ask for. Five stars! (out of five!)
Overall we had a positive experience staying in the Once Upon a Time Cottage. The house is much nicer inside the you would expect from the neighborhood. It is very cozy and comfortable. The yard is fenced in and well kept. The only issue we had was with the codes for unlocking the doors. The back door would not open with any of the door codes sent, and the front door opened with a code that had the wrong checkout time. We would definitely rent again.
Beds were very plush and comfortable. Shower pressure was great. Close proximity to downtown Paducah. Sandy answered when I called and was very sweet on the phone. If we ever come back to Paducah, we would stay here again.
I have stayed here twice and canât wait to stay many more times when I visit my daughter in Paduca. Easy access location and the cottage has all the amenities I need, including for my pups.
Thank you :)
We speant two weeks at Once Upon a Time. The property is located close to everything in downtown Paducah. Also, it's not far from the malls, dining, and shopping at I-24 and Highway 60. The interior is very comfortable and cozy and the owners made sure we had absolutely everything we needed for a pleasant two weeks stay. I highly recommend this property when you're considering a stay in Paducah Kentucky.
This charming house is conveniently located. This home has lots of space and everything you need for your stay. Will definitely be back next time I am in town to visit.
