I was very excited to stay at Coco Reef, but our trip was cut short due to food poisoning. My friend and I were only there from November 2-4. Unfortunately, the property manager did not provide us with the cancellation policy when we requested to see it. He said that he would not allow for any sort of refund, in spite of the unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances. The policy on Expedia does not explicitly state what would happen in the case of a cancellation once the stay has started, leaving a grey area. Furthermore, the property manager also lied and said that he had sampled our food the night before and knew exactly what we ate. We didn't even eat at the hotel. This is not a good representation of the company or Bermuda. The woman at the front desk was extremely kind and hospitable. I have no complaints about her. The rooms were also very clean. My only complaint would be the noise coming from outside our room. Somebody was on their phone early in the morning which impacted our ability to sleep. Overall, I am very upset with the outcome and I will not be recommending the Coco Reef to anybody due to this poor treatment.
