The only thing we didn’t enjoy was how thin the walls were. It sounded like there was a heard of buffalo above us. Other than that, it’s a perfect place to stay! (Also I know that the extremely heavy footed people are not your fault)

Lots of upgrades but didn't feel welcome

I've stayed at this place many times prior to the new owners remodeling, so I was anticipating a nice stay given the many upgrades under new management. No concierge was on duty, so check in happens via text which would've been okay if we'd brought bug spray. The mosquitoes are terrible, and we were eaten alive as we waited to receive the text info to get into our room. Later that evening, my husband and I were laying in bed dosing off watching tv, when a text came in "reminding" us that quiet hours are strictly enforced and if there are "any more issues" we will be asked to leave. This was at 11:30pm. Neither of us had been talking or making any other noise. I thought surely they must have sent that message to us by mistake? Then, shortly before 7am the next morning, we woke to the fire alarms going off on the porch hall outside of our room. It was my one day to sleep in... but now, we're up. We went to shower and discovered that water was luke warm. With the previous owner, they always served a wonderful breakfast but there was no mention of any breakfast on the booking page or on the check in texts we received, and since there was no concierge, we assumed there wouldn't be kitchen staff to serve breakfast. We only noticed the sign out front about breakfast after it was over as we were checking out. I replied back to the text accusing us of making noise, and was told that they sent that out to all guests. Which seemed rather harsh to sent out as a blanket message.

Cabin outside town

Excellent room for family of six. Outside of town. Quiet. Had great breakfast. Tons of room in unit. Bathroom was super small. Hard to get dressed in bathroom. Kitchen had everything you needed to make ur own food minus an oven.

What a gem of a place!

Amazing little cabins! Clean, all new appliances, high quality construction, ground coffee and all the supplies were there. My only two complaints are that the mattress was terrible and they have a strict 4pm check in. For those reasons I probably wouldnt stay there again but its a gem of a place!

We had a little trouble at the beginning with a few cleanliness situations but I messaged them on telephone number and the next day they were quickly resolved. It felt safe and everything ran very smoothly after that. The breakfast was awesome. My neice who has stayed at other higher end motels that also serve breakfast said this was superior to any of them. No regrets in booking this stay.

The newly-remodeled room was well appointed and the bed, linens, and pillows were lovely, although there was not a hanger or hook to hang a jacket. We were next to the stairs which generated so much noise that we needed to keep the fan on just to sleep. The “security lights” should be replaced with motion detectors as they were super bright and lit up our room, making sleep nearly impossible. The “view” outside our room was a bicycle, spare door, and other debris. The back yard area definitely needs attention/landscaping. The lodge faces the highway, resulting in lots of road noise. The website photo of the cabin is misleading as most rooms are in the lodge.

Excellent Cabin in Great Location!

I thoroughly enjoyed my solo cabin at High Creek Lodge and Cabins! The cabin was very comfortable with a nice bathroom and great WiFi and satellite TV. The grounds were beautiful with two hot tubs available. Breakfast was satisfying every morning. The main area of Pagosa Springs was a just short drive away and Mesa Verde National Park was less than two hours away. I highly recommend High Creek Lodge and Cabins!
