I dont have a complaint about this place. Its nice, clean, perfect location all good things about it. Lake was perfect right behing the house with hot tub in back deck lookin to the lake. We fished the lake, missed a few fish but none landed, quiet at night and moon was full both nights and had great views. House was very clean and organized i would/am gonna rent this place again im pleased with it.. thanks for the great stay..
The property is spacious and a rustic mountain theme. Location is stunning right on Hatcher Lake, which was frozen and walkable during our stay in winter. Nice gas fireplace and the hot tub is fabulous. Plenty of room for a larger group. VIP service provides plenty of towels and was responsive to our inquiries.
We had an excellent time at the house on the lake. It was very relaxing and the house was very clean and pretty inside. We really enjoyed the location and how close we were to the lake. We rented kayaks and enjoyed fishing. We were very successful at catching fish. It was a fantastic family vacation for my husband and I with our three adult kids..
The home was perfect for our party of four. Kayaking on beautiful Lake Hatcher was a delight with not a ripple to be found. We did notice that the cleaning crew missed quite a few crumbs under the living room sofa and chair. Other than that, the bathrooms, kitchen and rest of home were very clean.
It was a quick weekend trip with the family spent two nights there. Itâs a beautiful home on a beautiful location. Great spot for mornings and evenings.
This was a very nice property with spectacular views. Secluded enough but still only 10 minutes from grocery stores/restaurants. Most importantly, the property was listed accurately so there were no unexpected surprises. Also an important feature to me is plenty of towels and good quality towels and sheets (cant stand when rentals have scratchy linens!) and this property did indeed have good quality linens.
If you stay in the summer, note there is not AC (this was made clear on the listing) , but they provide plenty of fans and all rooms have plenty of screened windows to open.
This was a a amazing place and they kept the communication line open for our needs the hot tub was awesome the home was beautiful and the whole city offered lots of good food and entertainment The Burns
The house is perfect. Quiet neighborhood and friendly people. The hottub and lakeview are amazing. We do alot of cooking and everything is there. We used the outside grill and stove, its a gas stove and oven ... im used to electric but this worked great for us. The beds are very comfortable. Very very nice house. Loved it.
It was great to visit Colorado for the first time, I knew it didn't have A/C but honestly that is the part that was hard to sleep without, they supplied box fans and we actually keep one for traveling (smaller) Fishing was good and relaxing (game warden showed up about 30 min. after first catch so we figured we were being watched by 1 neighbor to make sure we were legal) Saw a Black Bear for the first time in the wildlife (guess it's common night before the garbage gets picked up, 1 neighbor mentioned while on his kayak. Still a great time with a lot of great memories.
We found this house at the last second and it was divine. The views are incredible. The waterfront is gorgeous and the mountain views look east, north and west. Although limited in space and no AC, even in the August heat it was never too hot. Trust me, it's a great place!
We had a very relaxing & extremely enjoyable stay. The only things we wish would change, is the check out time, 10am is too early, should change to noon and have the option to have a fishing permit included with the reservation for those who want to fish.
The house I'd booked was out of commission on the morning we were to arrive. Lori texted me and let me know. She instructed me NOT to work with VRBO, only directly with her. We found another, smaller (1300 sqft vs 2200 sqft), less desirable property at the same rate and we agreed it was the best option given the property we booked was out of commission.
The house was dirty. There were dirty dishes in the cabinet, dirty silverware in the drawer, the salt shaker was greasy, there was a bunch of hair in the tub, food smeared on the sofa and a mostly eaten lollypop on the back of the loveseat.
I let Lori know and she said she would get back to me on my request to refund the $225 cleaning fee, since the place was NOT clean. She waited until after I checked out to tell me, no, we NEVER refund cleaning fees.
Head's up - once you check out VRBO cannot help you.
I clearly got scammed here. I'll be more careful going forward.
Additionally, the garage that was listed for guest parking was full of stuff - trash, a sofa, a paddle boat - so there was no way anyone was parking a car in there. The back deck had thick ice that made it treacherous. The sink in the downstairs bath makes a dreadful noise unless you run water somewhere else at the same time.
I'd stay clear of this one, or, at the very least make sure if there are problems you let VRBO know PRIOR to checking out.
We stayed with our 3 and 1 year old kids. Great spot for us. Very quiet in the evenings, great views of numerous mountains (including the elusive Eolus and Windom). Close to town. We stayed in summer and stayed cool without AC.
We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We just relaxed & cooked at the house. We also enjoyed fishing on the lake. The only thing they left out on the description of the house is that you can not swim on the lake. Overall we had a wonderful experience & would definitely recommend!
Great place to stay. Relaxing and great access to the trails and road to Williams reservoir. Lots to do around here and still close to town. Loved our stay.
