The hotel and staff were lovely. The bar needs work there is not really a welcoming sign or and music that has to be kept low you could hardly hear it. Was overall ok but after being told that there were council renting for temporary accommodation and homeless tennants I don't think we'll be back. Shame nice hotel.
Wonderful, attentive staff, great service, lovely room, great breakfast⊠our two boys cried when we told them we were going home! Thank you to all the team at the Esplanade for making our anniversary weekend such a memorable one.
Staff at the esplanade were extremely helpful couldn't do too much to help full English breakfasts were wonderfull as with all period properties you can find a niggle but we wouldn't hesitate to stay again in fact we will be booking again
Superb stay here for a few days. Lovely seafront hotel with plenty of parking (ÂŁ6 a day). The rooms have been recently decorated so they were very nice. The staff were super friendly & nothing was too much. Comfy beds, clean towels and a good selection for tea & coffee making.
The hotel needs a bit more updating. But the staff were absolutely brilliant, friendly and ever ready to help. Must put a word in for receptions Laura and the young staff on breakfast. Both really helpfull and always with a smile. This hotel will cone on in leaps and bounds from its last occupation.
Hotel was quiet as expected for late March. Staff very helpful the lift was working OK. Slight down side was traffic noise thatâs not the hotelâs fault. Overall it was a great stay would recommend this hotel old building but a fabulous stay đđ
The staff are really nice, but the room wasnt the best, the bed was on a slope. The bathroom was very small to the point the toilet was hard to access, a garden hose would of been better than the shower.
The hotel location is very good its not a bad hotel but dont expect much
The manager kim was extremely welcome and caring aswell as Denis who checked us in even though a little bit early and all other staff we seen was friendly. Also made the dog feel happy and content will be back
The first room we had the shower was not getting hot and my garden hose was more powerful than the shower and then the next room we had was smaller and the bathroom is so small and the shower in that room was like a watering can and lukewarm and not powerful enough to was the shampoo out of my hair
There were some residents there that seemed like they are permanent waoking around in the pjs but i guess that happens in the high street nowadays so shouldnt be shocked.
The staff were so friendly & hospitable & went out of their way to help & get whatever we needed.
Cleaners literally just emptied the bin but left dirty cups on the side & didnât replenish the coffeeâŠalso not enough milk available (it does say to ask at reception but didnât realise there wasnât enough until we went to make it in the morning)
Bar area decor was okâŠ.our room on the other hand was very dated
BUT to be fairâŠ.we had a decent price for 2 nights considering you get 24hr reception & the staff were so helpful
Was ok, i enjoyed the sea view room. Over-all experience was positive, but a couple of the day staff showed a lack of empathy for the elderly or those that didnt quite understand some of the rules. My room was clean but carpet hadnt been hoovered recently.
Good location . Minutes to sea front . All on the flat. Car parking right out front . Amazingly helpful and friendly reception staff. Our room was ideal for just a place to sleep , shower and put our stuff. Very warm , and we was able to open window. To me this is a major plus in a hotel. Great value for money.
