The hotel was run down and not as the pictures appear. Will not stay there again. This may sound odd to put in a review, but the towels were not even quality towels. They were cheap towels that did not coordinate with one another. It just did not feel safe nor clean. They have the big tropical birds in the lobby, but some of them were losing their feathers and it just did not seem like it’s with sanitary having the birds there.

This place just did not live up to the ratings. We checked in (with Miss Grumbly) and the bed was not clean, and the bedpad had a big hole.... We left and found another place to stay. They did give us a refund so thanks for that!

Meh Room but Great Pool

The room was clean but outdated. It was so hot and stuffy when we walked in - the ac did work but the wall unot took awhile to cool the room down. The TV cable was not working and there were no streaming options, not great when traveling with a child. The highlight was the pool which was great. Restaurant on-site was convenient and pretty good

My first sign the property was not managed well was when checking in and the people in line in front of me were demanding a refund because the room they were given had not been room serviced. My own experience was an older room with a stain on the sheets, flys, stains on the tub and shower curtain and a broken faucet on the shower that barley worked. The kicker that really causes the 1 star rating was the fire Alarm, the second night returning to the hotel the alarm was chirping that the battery was dead. Over multiple conversations with the front desk and broken promises the alarm was never repaired. The only savi g grace was the overly load wall mounted AC so what drowned out the chirping fire Alarm with no battery.

Older hotel, but conveniently located

This is definitely an older, motor Lodge style hotel. I’ve heard that it was a motel six many years ago that was converted to this more tiki style hotel. The pictures on the Hotels.com are a bit deceiving. It’s definitely more rundown with older carpet and furniture. It does have the benefit of a restaurant and a tiki bar Next-door. We had appetizers and cocktails at both and the food was good.

Never again!

Horrible. The TV didn’t work. There was no hot water in the shower. There was a sign that said keep food in the refrigerator and the door shut because they have a bug problem. There was a big 1 inch gap if not more underneath the door. The app gave it 8.2 stars and said the room was renovated , not true. Did not eat in their restaurants because of the state of my room, I didn’t want to

It was a cute property for the price. The shower was nice with good pressure and the room clean. It does need a little repair. We noticed the wall paper was peeling and a few other items that looked dated or needing repair, but nothing too bad. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would come back and I really enjoyed the beautiful pool.

I liked the pool area, it was nice and quiet. The rooms are outdated and the carpet is dirty and gross. The shower facet was not working correctly. The mattress is old and not comfortable. The refrigerator was not working at its full capacity. The only thing i liked in the room were the towels.

I stayed in the Parlor suite and the toilet wasn’t properly cleaned, I just wiped it down myself. Besides that, nice stay. Yummy food at both restaurants The Reef and Sanchos.
