Although the photos of Lucy and Desi are everywhere, the history of this resort is undeniable. It needs updating, for sure, but what a triumph of mid century modern architecture!

The hotel is decorated nicely, with pictures of Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz and "rat pack" celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Junior, Dean Martin, etc. We stayed 2 nights for New Years eve and had dinner accross the street at Vicky's Santa Fe [highly recommend; nice band, dancing, food[. So location was good and this is our second new years staying at this hotel. Lobby had a nice set with balloons and decorations where we took a cute picture. Unfortunately, maybe because of being New Years, the hallways and rooms next to us were very noisy. The morning of January 1st, we heard a huge fight next door where a man was yelling "this is my wife" and the woman saying "it's not what you think" ... . anyhow, loud noises, slamming of doors, etc. Not the hotel's fault other than the paper-thin walls. The air conditioner was also loud, so we had to turn up the volume of our "white noise machine " When ready to leave on January 2, with our suitcases in tow, the elevator on the second floor did not work. When we got to the reception desk to check out, the clerk was on the phone with an elderly lady that was presently stuck in the elevator. We got our car up front and saw the lady being assisted by a maintenance man apologizing profusely. We did not use the pool because it rain the whole time.

we were assigned room 349, right besides the air conditioning facility. We checked in @6 pm , kept our luggage and went out to our event. when we returned at 1 am and went to room, we found that those big air conditioning units were making lot of noise and it was impossible to get a good night sleep. front desk told rudely told us that only thing they can do is waive our parking fee. Staff should have informed us about this room surroundings before assigning to us. this is an example of pathertic customer service. never staying again.

Indian Wallace is one of the most well known but older locations in Palm Springs or Indian Wells location of the desert. This place is nice, acquaintance, but definitely dated. I do remember the staff being much nicer in the past. Not so much anymore. The bartender by the cabana house was nice though. Very sweet always smiling. Overall, the location is very fun and very cute.

Reception check in was not as seamless as it could have been. They seemed unsure what room to give us which seemed odd. The area is pretty but the rooms are very outdated. Free coffee in the morning that was gone by 7:30 am. No thrills lodging.

No info given on resort amenities or times for the pool, restaurant, gift shop, workout room. No paperwork in room either. What a poor first impression. Then I found that the restaurant was never open and neither was the gift shop. The WiFi is very sketchy if you can access it at all. The lighting in the old rooms is poor. Furniture had to be moved to plug in charger and some outlets did not work. No full length mirror even in suite, only double beds not queens in a very large room. Shutters block half the view. There is no balcony as advertised - just a one foot ledge that is not large enough for a chair. The worst of all though was the pillows. Square and hard like a throw pillow. 3 per bed. Just get two standard size pillows. Don’t know how you find tiny pillowcases that fit. Bottom line. Great price but not worth it.

They had a band it was noisy and you couldn’t even hear the receptionist the place has cracked tiles. It’s dirty security the doors don’t even lock on the exterior exits not pleased at all. Would never stay at this place again.
