We always stay in this community and absolutely love it. The condo was really clean and super cute. I was a little disappointed that it was pretty basic as far as having anything extra. There were no baggies, scissors, throw blankets, anything like that. The kitchen was fully stocked as far as tools you would need or pots/pans. The other ones we have stayed in had a few coffee pods to get you started before going to the store, some beach towels, a junk drawer with basic necessities, baggies etc. There was plenty of beach items in the garage which was nice. We loved the addition of the golf cart and 2 bikes.

We absolutely loved this place ! The decor, the beds were so comfortable, everything you could need to cook etc. The golf cart and bikes were the BEST! We hope to make this a family tradition.

Great place - poor management/owners

The property itself was perfect - clean, great location, ideal for our family of 4. However, lots of little things added up to a headache. The code for the door did not work, a quick call and it was fixed. Not a big deal, but this was just the first of a lot of small issues. No code was left for the pool or the lock box that contained the key for the golf cart. Which meant more time out of our vacation to contact management. The main tv was not working upon arrival, which they quickly fixed but it meant another call to get it fixed. The dryer did not work, another call was placed and while we were there it was never fixed. The biggest headache of all was that the golf cart was not properly registered and we were “pulled over” by the HOA. We went back at forth with management over this issue which they blamed on the owners negligence. We specifically picked this property due to having a golf cart and we were unable to use it the entirety of our stay. We are still going back and forth trying to get compensation for the lack of this amenity. I would absolutely stay in this location/neighborhood again however with so much back and forth over what amounted to daily issues - skip this property and rent from someone else.

BUY TRIP COVERAGE IF YOU RENT HERE

If you plan to rent here...buy the trip insurance! On top of all the additional fees you better buy the insurance as well. We were scheduled to checkin 2 days prior to when Hurricane Helene hit the gulf. Surrounding areas were already being evaluated, watches and warnings were issued for the area, and the Governor had already issued a state of emergency. We reached out to the property owners the day of our checkin and requested a refund or date change, anything, for our trip and they said they were not offering any options for us at that time. They proceeded to tell us that the area was not expected to be impacted by the Hurricane...however the weather channel showed otherwise and Meteorologist's predictions can be wrong. The owners may be locals and used to storms, but we are not therefore for the safety and protection of our family and young children we felt it was best to not visit Florida during Hurricane Helene. We requested a refund or date change 2 more times from the property owner as the Hurricane approached the gulf and were declined options, therefore we lost our family vacation and the financial investment due to Hurricane Helene. This may be a great place to stay, I can't rate based on that, however it may be wise to buy that trip insurance because the property owners will NOT work with you.

I was a little concerned with the previous reviews about the golf cart and it having issues with other families and went back and forth on if I wanted to take that risk as my family really looks forward to the golf cart rides. Once we arrived, we noticed the golf cart didn't look as nice as a lot of the others in the community but decided to look past that and still enjoy it. The ride was less than enjoyable the steering is very difficult and unsteady ( I myself decided not to drive it because I saw how uncomfortable and uptight my husband and son were trying to navigate it, which is unfortunate) the cart would shake and sway and it just stopped working on us in the worst times, in traffic! We never received the charging cord, and we just decided it was in our best interest to just drive our SUV around. The washer machine started leaking. Everything else was fine we like the condo and the love the area.

Great pool and location

We loved the pool and location. Being across from the Big Choll was great having a toddler and multiple food options. The main tv remote did not work and we were not initally provided the instructions for the gold cart key ( although was fixed with a quick phone call). There was an issue with these small bugs that were constantly arounx no matter how clean we kept it.

Great location, quick access to the beach & pool. Very cute community as well. Overall great stay. There were a few things I wish were better: description of small appliances within the unit, only working coffee pot was kerig, reg coffee pot didn’t work. Minimal clean towels, paper towels & toilet paper supplied for a family of 5. No Kleenex suppled or basic cleaning supplies to wipe up messes. Even a decent broom would have been helpful. Only one stove burner worked, clothes dryer still had issues (which based off the reviews has been any issue since early spring.) If you do not intend to cook or spend much time in The unit, you’ll have no complaints:) But as a mom of 3, it’s the small things that matter! Or at least having an accurate description to plan ahead, is very helpful.

Enjoyable Family Vacation

Overall as a family, we enjoyed our stay! The area is lovely, and the condo is clean. It was lacking in some basic tools (no oven mitts, and only one burner on the stove adequately worked), but I chalked this up to basic wear and tear. Honestly, it's not something that would derail our vacation because we came to have fun. The condo was the perfect size for our family of 4. If you like your space-I would not encourage more than 4 people in the condo. While there is a pull out couch, I imagine it would be like Tetris to move the furniture to accommodate the pull out. I was nervous about the complaints regarding the dryer not working, and was relieved when it did work. However, I think the vents need to be cleaned as it took a while to dry clothing. We were very excited to use the golf cart. Unfortunately, it needs work.The tires are wearing, and the steering is not adequate to be used on 30A. Overall, we did not feel safe driving it on the road. I want to point out that these issues did not upset our stay. We were enjoying our vacay. What did upset our trip, is our interaction with My Vacation Haven.The keypad for the door stopped working one evening. What could have been a mild irritation (with an easy fix), turned into a total sh** show. 3 hours and a locksmith later, we had access at 11PM. Positive and professional communication is not hard. That is all we expected, and it was not given. I would not encourage you to rent this condo if My Vacation Haven is still managing it.

Nice community.

Very nice condo. It had everything we needed and extras. Loved that the bikes and chairs were included. Loved that you could walk to the pool! I do wish the beach were closer but a short golf cart ride and you were there. My only complaint was that the dryer did not work properly although I was told it’s brand new. I called and they did send someone out that day but it still was not drying properly. Overall we had a great time!

We love A30!

Great spot! The home was clean, bright and cheery! I read the washer/dryer wasn't working in April in the reviews and in June, unfortunately, the dryer still didn't work. That was tough with towels, etc to dry. Owners have everything you need for the beach but the beach towels. Bikes were great but we did have to rent one for our 10 year old daughter because the pedal was broken on the only kids bike. Maintenance came but not for 2 days. The golf cart was a bonus and we used it everyday. If you choose to go very far, plan on charging it overnight. Loved the soft beds, the large bathrooms and kitchen are all very nice. The location was perfect, not too busy in early June like some of the other beaches. Would love to have had a list of eateries in the area and wifi info ahead of time. A great spot all in all. We will definitely be back!

Great experience overall!

Overall great experience! But we did deal with an EXTREME case of fruitflies and wrote in via VRBO and did not hear back. Also, the dryer element seems to be broken and we ended up having to take home a trash bag of wet clothes that wouldn’t dry. Lastly, we would suggest maybe more than 4 rolls of toilet paper. We’re landlords too and understand the little expenses add up, but this felt like cutting corners a bit and we ended up running out of toilet paper and realizing in the moment there was no more in the entire place.

Unit was clean. The beds were very comfortable! I was called the day I was leaving my home and notified that the washer and dryer were not working, but a new set was going to be delivered likely during my stay. I asked if there was a daily discount since property did not have everything as described. The lady said she would ask but never got back to me. I always use the washer and dryer daily during vacation. She suggested going to laundry mat if the washer and dryer did not arrive. Extra towels were provided. The area is very nice but beach access is not close to subdivision.

Broken dryer & microwave. Poor communication

We arrived on Sunday and needed to do a load on clothes from our travels to discover the dryer was broken. We had read on prior reviews other travelers had issues with the dryer but it appeared to have been resolved. Not so. The repairman arrived on Monday morning and first was telling my husband and I we didn’t know how to work the settings after telling him numerous times we did, he finally looked into the issue and found the heating element was blown. He said he could overnight the part but it would be up to the owners. Worst case he would be beach Wednesday to fix the dryer. Meanwhile, one of my 4 children soiled their sheets Sunday night. We needed replacement sheets. We contacted the property management company 5 times about getting fresh sheets for our child to sleep on with zero response. The next day they finally responded and apologized saying there was nobody available on Monday to deliver clean sheets to our condo but clean sheets would be delivered by 5 pm. I asked again about the dryer. No response. On Wednesday I asked again about the dryer since nobody updated us as promised by the repairman. I was then told the owner decided not to repair it because it was too expensive, rather they were going to replace it and have a new one delivered. I asked when it was going to be delivered. They said they would get back to me. Thursday I asked again if it would be delivered before we left. They said they would escalate our request since we were leaving on Friday and we had many loads to do and had run out of clothes for our family of 6. I never heard another word. The microwave also stopped working. I let them know that and didn’t hear a response back from them about that either. I’m highly disappointed with this. We spent a lot of money on this vacation to have working appliances, clean sheets and for accommodations made when things are broken. We will not rent from this property or My Haven Vacation again. Really poor customer service and response rates. All about the $$$
