This was our second time staying at The Summit but our first time in this unit. It was okay. The location is great, and close to restaurants (there is a gentlemanâs club across the street; just fyi for families). We spent a week here, and it was live-able, but it needs a lot of improvement. The pictures make it look nicer than it is. The fridge door latch is broken and has to be jiggled around every time you close it, the shower handle is broken (as another review states) and falls off if you donât push in while turning it, and the toilet flapper needs replaced as it makes a ridiculously loud noise almost every 20 minutes. It woke us up several times every night. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, because there isnât a working fan in there. We told the owners about the mold, and they did offer to have someone out to clean it, but it wasnât an immediate concern for us; we just hope they cleaned it before the next folks checked in. There was also confusion about beach chairs. There were no chairs provided in the unit, but the complex has an agreement with a company that sets up chairs every day. THESE ARENâT INCLUDED. We were told after sitting in some weâd have to pay 50 a day to use them. We realized that buying chairs would be less expensive, so the two chairs and umbrella now in the unit are there because of us (youâre welcome lol).Overall, it wasnât the worst place weâve been. The TV worked well, the view is nice, but we probably wonât stay here again.
