View excellent Location close to activities outside hotel Good rooms clean, Improvement: the food was subpar consistent with previous ratings, cost to us ended up being $200/ buffet breakfast/ per person. For an all inclusive place we could not get into their dinner restaurants to even try their food. We tried concierge, tried there app, staff gave us the run around. Pool side restaurant took 90 mins to serve us and burgers. Charges on activities were booked on wrong day by Sanchez. Overcharged us $95 for an activity others were being charged less. Would never stay here again.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The resort was beautiful, as was the views. I came with a group of 10 girls for a bachelorette. We were able to enjoy all the amenities offered. When we first arrived the room I was assigned to was not ready, the hotel staff was super accommodating and assigned us a premium room with ocean views. One of the joys of the hotel were the constant pool parties! We all had a blast. There were many accommodating staff. Special shout out to Jeffery (he was our waiter when we ate at the steak restaurant), Lewis (he was one of the bartenders at the pool - he makes amazing drinks and always added a special touch), Freddie (who brought smiles to our faces the first night we arrived and ate at the buffet), and Jedder (who brought so much entertainment during our pool days). It’s a place I would recommend to stay. Also, the staff that works at the excursion section at the hotel were top tier, I highly recommend booking through planet hotel for all excursions. It was an overall amazing experience!

A very good all inclusive hotel with superb service. The staff are very nice and helpful. Food cooking quality can be a little better and more variety would make a longer than 3 days stay more enjoyable

We traveled as a party of 6 and had a wonderful week. Because we booked through Expedia, the resort seemed to place special significance on our reservation — we received Expedia wristbands & door hangers, which made us feel oddly VIP (maybe damage control given mixed reviews, but we felt well cared for). Don’t believe the haters — they truly aim to please. Do the pre-check-in if possible. The app didn’t work for me, and the in-person process is long when you just want to start vacationing. Had a hiccup at check in. Noella came over as we sorted it out and turned things around. She gave us her direct number, checked in frequently, comped us a cabana, and got us into every restaurant as desired. She is truly an angel and made sure a small glitch didn't turn into a big deal. Restaurant food was excellent; buffet was hit or miss but had surprises — especially made-to-order items. Pro tip: bacon is only available by asking the omelet cooks. Dinner at the restaurants is the way to go, every meal our group ordered was delicious. At the time of writing, this is the only resort in the bay, so the beach is not crowded. Kayaks and paddleboards require reservations and they have only 2 of each total. Beach vendors were friendly, conversational, and respectful — never pushy. Lovely people. Love the Tico spirit. Shout out to Emu for having those tequila shots always at the ready! Great resort for day drinkers: fun daytime party vibe, quieter nights. DJs were meh. Pura Vida!

The room had a moldy odor, and the towels were dirty, which is unacceptable at this price point. While the room size and view were great, the room itself felt run-down and The drinks were mostly powdered juice, which was shocking considering Costa Rica has an abundance of fresh fruit. The food quality felt more like a budget hotel, not a resort that advertises luxury.outdated.

I had an amazing time at the Planet Hollywood Costa Rica. Every single staff member from check-in to check out, to buffet dining, fine dining, various bartenders, pool people. Everybody was friendly and welcoming, and always had a smile on their face. Best customer service I've seen in a long time. All of the food was delicious. The coffee shop amazing. The nightly shows were very entertaining. Shout outs: Jimmy pool bartender, Alexa 3rd floor bartender and Noha front desk person. I wish I can remember everybody's name, again all employees were wonderful. And the monkeys by the beach are super cute.

Room was in good condition I absolutely loved the room we stayed in. The food was not great, very low quality That includes the restaurant food and room service . Staff was great, they noticed we did not like our food but did not take it out of the bill. Which okay I guess I’ll pay 70$ for an untasteful lobster tail. Also gettiny transportation to the airport was crazy expensive, I wish I would have gotten an uber instead .

The room was in excellent condition, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable stay. My rating, however, reflects a few concerns. After booking, dinner reservations were made on my behalf without any prior consultation, and when I attempted to modify them, I was informed that changes were not possible—even though the alternative restaurant appeared to have walk-in availability. Additionally, I found the lunch and snack options to be underwhelming, and I was not particularly fond of the fragrances used throughout the lobby and other common areas. Aside from these issues, the property offers a pleasant environment and a beautiful beach, making it a nice option for a short getaway.

Go on the eco walk in the morning to see the howler monkeys and some cool nature, it’s an easy walk on a straight dirt path ! Star class upgrade is worth it and I feel mandatory in order to enjoy everything around the resort. Always love Royalton hotels, the wildlife here was insane. I am more than happy with my stay and am so thankful for all the amazing staff that I will never forget !
