The property is located in a beautiful setting with stunning views of the estuary and a short walk from Paraparaâs beach. Unfortunately things go downhill once you step inside. First of all, we looked for a third bedroom with a luxury queen bed as described but instead, found a sad Murphy bed in the living room. Not quite what we were after. The photos are misleading showing the same room with different bedding, giving the illusion of more bedrooms. Our mistake perhapsâŠThe walls are plastered with passive-aggressive notes. Every surface has a reminder of what not to do. Instructions on how to handle the toilet paper (yes, thatâs a thing), warnings about cleaning the barbecue or removing duvet covers, it felt a bit like a sticky note dictatorship. Re cleanliness, maybe weâre just picky, but we found a few places that hadnât seen a vacuum cleaner in a long long time and the benchseat stained fabric gave a little health and safety risk feel to meals. If the property were priced accordingly (i.e., cheap), Iâd let it slide, but at the rates theyâre charging (at least in high season), I expected a little bit more. We accidentally left behind a pair of shoes after leaving the property cleaner than we found it (which wasnât hard). We emailed the owners to see if they could help, but three weeks later, we're still waiting for a response. Guess our shoes have become part of the Hawaiian vibe decor. Unless you have 3 dogs and no other choice, you might want to keep lookingâŠ
