elevators not working- understandable. but they closed a stairwell and only told you at the bottom, so you had to walk back up to exit. this can’t be safe for fire hazard reasons. €7.50 to rent a towel.. that should not be the case. the rooftop was also closed for a private event which was a main reason why I booked

Good suburb location in terms like London allow about 45 mins to get to most central attractions. Metropolitan metro line. Longer to Montmatre. Come up from station and look into the roundabout and you’ll see Generator curved to one side with neon letter front signage - approx 100m walk. There’s a boulangerie patisserie, bistro, pizza takeaway, small supermarket and pharmacy all around the same roundabout as well as 3 bistro restaurants (one is French). Rooftop was closed throughout the whole 7 days I stayed. Like the last Generator I stayed. Bed linen is changed every 5 days, but you can ask to swap towels at reception regularly. Unisex dorms only. Take flip flops as the boys pee and they don’t mop the floors and there are no bath mats/racks to stand on when you step out of showers. Lifts take a while as it’s a big place and was full of several school groups and many getting drunk. Massive hostel not far from the Saint Martin canal, modern and safe and rooms are quiet, but for other bunkers of course, so take ear plugs and eye mask as you should for any hostel :). Bar food until 10:30 in eve and one veggie option. Vending machines in reception. Laundry there too.

Getting a good shower here was really hard. The water was either too hot or not hot at all. Location was good, nice neighborhood and a few meters across from a metro station. There is an option to buy a 9.50 eur breakfast, but they do not mention the default breakfast menu is included ij the room rate and that the 9.50 price is for an extra toast with scrambled eggs and bacon, a crepe, or a croissant.

Well located but very average stay

A well positioned hotel for exploring the city. Don’t be fooled by online photos, not especially accurate for our room. Beds were uncomfortable with metal bed frame slats that made the mattress slide around. We asked everyday for some fresh towels but never received any; excuse was either ‘someone will bring some’ or ‘we have run out and are expecting a delivery’. Food in the restaurant was average but very expensive. Drinks were ridiculously priced!!!

Good location just a short walk from Gare du Nord and close to Metro stations. Staff welcoming and friendly. Convenient to have lockers for luggage as we arrived before check in and could leave stuff there for the day after check out. Had a twin room with private bathroom. Spotlessly clean

For the money this is a good option. The single and double rooms were a good size, clean and had everything you needed. For sure I would recommend it.
