We had a very bad experience during our stay. We got stuck in the elevator for a few minutes and when we rang for help, the hotel staff spoke French and the anxiety of not being able to understand was scary my husband had to pry the doors open and the staff showed zero urgency or concern. Despite clearly explaining the situation, they offered no assistance, no compensation and didn’t even bother to check in afterward.
Being trapped in an elevator is a safety issue, and the complete lack of response from the staff was unacceptable. Emergencies can happen, but how a hotel handles them is what matters — and in this case, they failed.
